I fell behind late 2004 on Mortage payments. In January of 2005 I phoned Cendant Mortgage and paid over the phone bringing account current. I have a confirmation number from Cendant.
In February I recieved my normal monthly statement reflecting my normal monthly amount which I paid. I recieved teh check back uncashed with a letter from Cendant stating the payment was not enough to bring the account current.
I phoned Cendant and was informed on diffrent occasions of 4 diffrent excuses. First they said the payment made in January was returned from my bank for NSF, I contacted my bank and they showed no attempt from Cendant to access my account and the funds are still available. Then they said there was a wire transfer problem, then they said they had the wrong account routing number, then they said they had the wrong checking account number.
Meanwhile my home in in forclosure, the attorney wants $5000, ( $3000 to bring my acount current and $2000 i atty. fee's) I have a confirmation number, have provided Cendant with all the documentation they requested ( bank statements) and have just ben getting the run around from them. I need help!
