I have filed reports about Ocwen myself. We had a 2nd mortgage with Ocwen. The first mortgage was a private mortgage. When we applied for the Ocwen mortgage, we told them we had the first mortgage. They ignored the fact that we had the first mortgage and gave us the mortgage. We ended up in a forebearance agreement with Ocwen. We were in default on the first mortgage too. They both foreclosed. The first mortgagor beat Ocwen to the punch and foreclosed first. Ocwen backed out of the forelcosure sale on the first Tues, Feb. 2007. The first mortgagor went ahead with the sale. We lost the house at that sale. Ocwen still claims they are in first place and that the loan is in foreclosure, even though the house is Gone and has new occupants! There was no money left over from the sale of the house to pay Ocwen. The first mortgage was barely
paid off leaving a small shortage. Ocwen sends us mortgage statements every month.
They add force-placed insurance to the loan, and add inspection fees to the loan for a house that is no longer collateral for the loan. They are reporting us on our credit reports as "forclosure initiated", which is wrong because they did not and cannot foreclose on this house. When I initiate a dispute with the credit bureau, they just ask Ocwen who says it's correct. Aggghhhhh! I tried writing to the bureaus and telling them that Ocwen has their internal information wrong and so they cannot verify this. Ocwen sued us, the first mortgagor, the realty company who bought the house at the sale, the people who bought the house from them and the two mortgage companies who hold their first and second mortgages and the judge dismissed the case. When I have called Ocwen they don't know what I am talking about. I told them to call their own attorney to update their own information.

I have given reports to Ripoff. Yes I am a taker, - let's file a class action, but I reside in Northern, VA. If you can figure out how others in another state can get involved in the class action you have a taker! Might be possible because the company is in Orlando FL therefore anyone involved with the company might possibly have to file suit in Florda as they is where their business office is, not in the State in which rhe home is located/and financed - I am all for it.
Tomorrow I see an attorney and will in all probability file Chapter 13. i am frustrated and upset. I am in danger of loosing my home at this time although I have proof of payments.I called Ocwen, getting voice mail, requesting a face to face meeting with Ocwen. In each voice mail I have asked for the meeting and stated I was willing to drive the 10 hours to see them. All request have been ignored. that's what once calls good public relations and outstanding professionalism - God help us all if that is the best they can do and obviouslly that is their best, but somehow they manage to stay in business!
I raised children alone getting them through school; bought my first home at 55 - this is my 2nd. Words can not express my dismay and I am close to retirement. I had planned to use what I put into my home into my retirement - isn't that a joke?.
The bottom line is that they do not care. Yesterday I sent letters out overnight air to all my congressman; tomorrow I will do it at a State level. It may be too late for me but maybe I can help others. Everyone write your congressman US and State levvel.
The more I read, and the more I learn I am appalled and shocked at what appears to be unethical conduct, definace of the law and a complete lack of respect to the consumers as dies it appears that they are getting away with it.
Put my name on the list, get in touch with me via Ripoff. I will come to Florida to meet with the attorney. Let's give it the old heave ho and go after them.

Count me in. I followed the terms of my streamline modification and was hit with a bill today that they want over 3k (over 2k in fees and the new mortgage payment of 788.22) by Dec 1st.
I told them no where in the modification did it mention having to pay these fees and asked why they were not added to the principal and was basically told that I could pay them off little by little (sure and be hit with an almost 40 late fee each month) and them consider me in default.
I followed the terms of the modification and they added additional fees that I am unable to pay so now I have no choice but to let them foreclose.

I started a refi with Ocwen. I gave them $3000 cashiers check. I forgot to send original documents. They called me and said they would send the money back and start foreclosure if I did not sign ans send the paper work. That was a Tuesday. On Friday I got laid off. Needless to say, I did not sign and send paper work. I then was wishing they would send the $3000 back! They kept it! They said you owe us! (which is true) However, it stated on the loan documents, if you do not sign and send original forms we will return money and start foreclosure. Can they pick and choose? Also the man or should I say kid named Scott Williams (or so he said) made fun of my childs learning disability. I was in tears and he kept on saying I was a bad mother! He said he would not pay for his tutor and I needed to get my priorities straight. I wrote Ocwen a letter and sent it to twelve different locations, I got no response. My children are my priority! I know I should pay for my home, but if it comes between my children and my "bills" I pick my children! Thats my job! They will always have food and a roof! But it doesnt have to be a $400,000 roof! And my childrens well being (learning diability) is more important than good credit. That may sound bad to some, but to me it is the only way! Let me know!

Ocwen would not work with us on our out of sight mortgage rates and foreclosed. they would not return calls, emails or letters mailed. At some point during the last 1-1/2 year I received a call from a foreign speaking person and I asked what country she was from and she said India. That was the only word I understood. I said have someone who can speak English call me back and they never did. Lost my home. So a class action law suit --count me in!!!!

My loan was sold to Ocwen and this being the second home I have purchased. I was amazed by there rudeness and just plain unprofessionalism.. they have been late on making the taxes to my city time and time again!.. I have to call over and over again just to get an operator in a foreign country who barely speaks english that wants too much personal information, when I ask where I can go to an office here in the state of New jersey, they say there is not one..
ughhhh!!! when I sell this house, I will ensure in writing that ocwen is never the owner of my loan, or I will purposely let it go into foreclosure!!! they are a disgusting company bent on nothing but profits on the backs of hardworking people.. shame on you!

We were sold to OCWEN and from the beginning they hit us with late charges that were paid to the previous owner of the loan.
From there it got worse.
The kicker to this was that for 2 full years of payments to my escrow account (Taxes and insurance) I found out after trying to add my 2 cars to my AAA insurance to get a cheaper rate I found I had NO insurance on my home due to NON Payment. This happened after OCWEN got my loan from the previous company's transfer. OMG I called them after finding this out from AAA. They told me there WAS insurance on the home provided by THEM for the STRUCTURE (ONLY) at no cost.
My reply was WHY did this happen? You cover the house but my inside coverage was $300,000.00 and Hurricane coverage since I do LIVE IN FLORIDA!! Why was this not Paid since I was making the payments? After trying to contact their Insurance DPT with phone calls, faxes and letters. I NEVER GOT A REPLY !! So I got the insurance MYSELF and had the ESCROW canceled. Isn't there a LAW for that? I make the payments and THEY don't.
Also the first year with them I got a TAX notice that it was NOT paid and had to spend HOURS contacting OCWEN to pay it since the ESCROW was for that too!!
What kind of company is this? I now am late on my morgage due to loss of my job and
too like others here I have read about, CALL me constantly. I know I'm behind and I'm doing everything I can to get it current and call them back almost daily to keep them informed of my "CHANGE IN STATUS".
This has been ongoing for the Last 2 years now and I have tried to recently get that hardship plan they listed but what they sent EXHIBIT A, B,C, D looks more like Court Documents to go after me if I DEFAULT not HELP...
Many times with the long hours on the phone with them I told them to SELL my loan to someone else due to their POOR service. But that is like telling the EARTH to STOP SPINNING :(
I have EVERY PIECE of Documentation they have sent me since we are pack rats.
Which by the way NOT one of their Bills have the SAME numbers on them month to month. How do they do their MATH?
To TOP IT OFF I tried to sell my home on a SHORT SELL and guess what?
Even though I have had this loan with them for several years the pay OFF was EXACTLY the ORIGINAL $180,000.00 AMOUNT.. HOW does THAT HAPPEN??
I also have TAPED conversations with them TOO !! To back up what I have said here.
I NEED to go into the LOAN Business So I CAN CHARGE WHAT I WANT WHEN I WANT and NEVER MAKE IT LESS THAN WHAT the original amount was for TOO !!!
ANY IDEAS on how to STOP THIS KIND OF LENDING PRACTICE?

We're with you!! We've been battling with them for 6 years - they weren't our original lender - I don't think they ever are - they just buy loans from other companies...then they suck the life out of the borrowers!! Every single time I've talked to someone at that company, the first thing they ask me is "How much money can you send?" They are nothing but a bunch of crooks and liars!
I was an Escrow Officer for many, many years and I have never dealt with another as horrible as this one - and believe me, there were some bad ones out there. Ocwen takes the prize! They give you false names when you ask for one - I swear that every male I talked to there was named Steven! They threaten people and hang up on them!
Grrrrrr...I am so *&(*^(&))*)&^^*&%$$$%%^ angry! It's time to take them on!!

I have debt with acwen since 2007 and have had nothing but head aches. they had my escrow messed up and when I called on them they cold not see a problem mean while I cantacted my attorney and he said that it was not right but did not offer to help. So naturally my payments continues to increase .I had stared a loan modification back in july 2008 I had a 9.9 intrest rate my house was inflated and I was going to lose it. Ok july august september oct, nov, dec, jan finally it was modified after being on the phone for hours waiting and waiting and being told they had not recieved my faxes even though on my end my copy came back complet all pages I was lied to they did another modification because they kept saying they had not recieved my agreement which I had faxed over 20 times I emailed the agreement. So with the new modification my house principle has gone up and i got a intrest rate of 8.24 when I asked why it went up they said that is what their caculator says take it or leave it I personally will be just maybe beable to make that paymt for a while I do not have a job in the summer I work as a teacher Assistant I so find part time work usually but with the economy it will be hard this year my husband will be just able to pay the mortgage what ablout the other bills I don't know . so please if there is a class action suit I want to be included this company need to be shut down they are not willing to help their customers and they are nothing but rip offs . I also paid to have a loan modifiaction with a company manhattan mitigation they did not help me but they did say this ocwen is bad business so here I am with a inflated home and a high interst rate and not so good credit because of these people . I can not do anything I can refinance I do not know what to do . I have all my papers from the time I started to modify my loan right up to now.

I have had this company for over two years now. From day one, nothing but trouble. When things got bad, they offered me a "modification". Please........ do you think we are that stupid. I filed a Chap. 13 BK and present day, they still get the paperwork wrong. I know there is already a court case being prepared in NY, but that is not a class action.
To the homeowners reporting here and others reading these reports. We need to file complaints with the federal government. We also need to get together and file a class action against Ocwen LLC. By the way, they also have employees who monitor this website.
For those who are tired of speaking with third-world countries, you have the legal right to request in writing (certified) to have your file marked "USAO". this means they can only direct you to a in-country (USA) customer rep.

What Ocwen has done to us and others is just wrong. Please feel free to read our report. We had many more issues with Ocwen not listed. We have taped phone calls and yes we did tell them they were being filmed as well as recorded. We have them admitting there were problems with our account - but - they were never fixed. I could spend hours telling you of the last three years.
So Yes - I would get in on a class action suit as well. I live in North Florida

THIS WEEK I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A CIVIL COMPLAINT FOR A QUIET TITLE AND INJUNCTION. I WANT TO DO SOMETHING BECAUSE I KNOW ON THE THE 11TH HOUR PRIOR TO THE SALE THEY WILL JUST SALE WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR ANSWER US ON MODIFY REQUEST. I JUST WILL NOT LET THEM TAKE OUR FAMILY HOME AWAY. I have had SEVERAL dealings with Ocwen that have left me wondering what my legal rights are...one was a loan modification offer that included a balloon note with no information about the amount of the balloon loan. Then when I called they still did not give me the loan amount but told me when the loan was finished being paid I would owe another $190,000... Which is more than the initial loan. Even the worker on the phone got a good laugh about how ridiculous the modification was.
When I first started having problems... I filled out the financial hardship paperwork. Then they told me that I did not make enough money so they did not have to work with me...So I struggled for another year to try to make payments. All while they had documentation that I could not afford the payments. They have now started foreclosure and are returning any payments I attempt to make at this point in time.
Please advise me on where to go and who to contact.

I am feeling your pains with Ocwen, I too have dealt with horrible company. I went into an mortgage modification program with Ocwen only to be promised to pay $3464 which then without notice went up to 3469.69 which was no big deal. But, I had the modification started in 12/08 and then had to pay an good faith payment to get the modification which dropped my rate from 7.5 to 6.5 % and late charges of roughly 2100 to back of loan. This was great I finally thought great I could get my life back on track since my husband is disabled and no longer able to work and my older child has been in/out of mental hospitals for mental illness for past two years. I have been losing a lot of unpaid leaves from work, I was working two jobs since this all. Well, Long story short, I come to find out just after two months of b
eing on the modification with Ocwen that my April payment will be going to $3715.
I totally can't afford this, I too have an 1200 truck payment which I need for my spouse's needs. So I haven't made an pymt since March now. I have been working with an Modification company from Arizona, I paid then 1995 which is promised back to me if the modification is unable to be processed, This company has been arguing with Ocwen since 5/09, They even have the company's Supervisor dealing directly with Ocwen now, But, All of sudden nowthe truck payment has Ocwen refusing to deal. They don't think I will continue with the mortgage and will default 6months down the road. But, It didn't seem to bother than in 12/08. I have had the loan prior to than. But, If Ocwen would of checked there prior records I had no problems with paying the truck of 1200 and the mortgage payment when the mortgage payment was $3464 as they initially promised it would be. I don't care if the escrow they needed was too low they should of realized this before they gave me written agreement of my modification payment of 3464 which they threatened me if it was Nsf check or paid late would make the modification void. Shouldn't they be obligated to there customer to keep my payment the same and not change it after just two months? I am getting real nervous with the foreclosures in my area. My now mortgage modification company (FMC )tells me I can't be forclosed on but reading the posts on Ripoffs has me feeling so uneasy now. So ,Yes, Go for the Class action suit include me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carl, I just found this ripoff report site today as I was researching what ever happened to First Alliance Mortgage ( the company that Cal Vet allowed us to encumber our first mortgage with a second in place with in 1992 ) at some point in time somehow Ocwen became the company we were paying our second mortgage to ( the payment history I received from them indicates we have been paying them since 07/01/2000 ) our loan "matured" in Sept. 2007. Not knowing exactly what that meant because ocwen also sent paperwork to send for a payoff quote I began my quest for information on what to do since the payoff quote stated that they wanted 5000 plus dollars and we were not in a position at that time to pay it off if we even owed that amount. I was told by one of those employees that takes calls from the cue "just go ahead and keep making your payments" I did this and they recorded it as a payment on Nov. 7,2007 and now the recorded statement message says the next payment due for Dec.1,2007 is 191.66 we have not made a payment since then. I have not been able to satisfy myself that we indeed owe any amount due to the impossibility of ever being able to reach anyone in the USA. We have now received a foreclosure notice and I am not sure what to do after reading all the ripoff reports on this site this evening. I would like to be member of this suit as well if one is filed against MERS. They too were the 'beneficiary' of my deed which is illegal in CA.
I actually filed suit against CHASE Home Finance, US Bank ect. and the judge just dismissed my case (ten counts-including fraudulent misrepresentation, wrongful foreclosure...) saying I had no causes of action???? While acknowledging that MERS is not a beneficiary????? Go figure.
I will probably have to pursue through the Court of Appeals.
Ocwen was my second who got wiped out in the foreclosure of my home by Chase and US Bank (they sold my home to themselves for half of what I supposedly owed them).
The whole thing is such a scam.
If I know how I would attach my complaint etc. so you could see it.
My lawyer was a previous banker who knows exactly what these guys are doing and that it is FRAUD through and through.

Count me in any action. I have filed complaints with several agencies and have yet to get a satisfactory response. So get me any information. I am in Charlotte, NC. If you have found an attorney willing to get invovled please post as much information as this site will allow. I have also voiced to them several times that they are doing more of a disservice by not allowing us to contact one another other than by posting here. How can we effectively get a resolution if we cant talk to one another or communicate by other means. I dont know what the deal is with ripoff report. I think they just want to be the middle man in whatever takes place, which is fine with me.
Sometimes I wonder if Ocwen is paying them off as well. I hope that I am wrong, but I see no other reason why consenting adults are not being allowed to contact one another. I have suggested to Ripoff that they give everyone interested some sort of link where you need to have a specific password to be allowed to access like some employers do. Is that too much to ask? They have gotten us all riled up and they want to just leave us hanging? If you have an attorney maybe they will allow you to post the attorneys information. They did for the Citibank customers. Let me know the status.
