Hi--
I am cutting and pasting an article on the ACORN website. Look them up on the internet, I think it's www.acorn.org but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Wells Fargo is listed on their site as a predatory lender. Acorn staged a demonstration against Wells Fargo on 5/7/03. The article below is from the ACORN website on a refinancing possibility. The other group that might be able to help is www.naca.com, another non-profit housing advocacy group.
Good Luck!

ACORN Housing Rescues Predatory Lending Victims
U.S. Bank has long used its "American Dream" program to make below market rate home purchase loans to borrowers through ACORN® Housing Corporation's loan counseling program. Now U.S. Bank has expanded this program for use in refinancing borrowers out of predatory loans, and AHC has been able to rescue a number of borrowers, lowering their monthly payments by as much as $600. One borrower in Minnesota had a loan from Beneficial with a 12.9 percent interest rate and over $16,000 in closing costs and credit insurance, making her monthly payment $1,360. On January 6 she was able to refinance at 5.6 percent, lowering her monthly payment to $754. For more information contact Jordan Ash at ahcmidlc@acorn.org or 612-418-8768.
