The company provided an estimate one month prior to our move that was comparable to others we acquired. On the day of the move, they took all of our belongings into their possession and then lied about the size of the shipment. The doubled the bill!! We tried discussing the issue with the owner and sales rep who first lied about the incidents that occurred at our apartment on the day of the move when neither was present. Then both began to evade our calls.

This company cannot provide any documentation that outlines exactly what we were charged for. The Surface Transportation Board has written a report supporting my claims of being overcharged by this company.

The owner of Apollo, Edna Seltzer, submitted ridiculous lies in her defense that I can prove are untrue (by her own paperwork!!)

They are in poor standing with the Better Business Bureau and will most likely be fined by the DOT due, in part, to my claims.

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company!! Use a large, well-known, nationwide company. Be sure to ask if your mover "sub-contracts". Meaning, who drives your belongings from point A to point B. If the name of that shipper is not the office you are dealing with - don't contract them. You want the same company that is taking your money to drive and deliver your items.

On top of the overcharges, they damaged just about every piece of furniture they touched. I'll be happy to send pictures to anyone who is interested. Boxes were split wide open. It reminded me of the Samsonite commercial from the 70's that had the gorillas throwing the suitcases around!
