I ordered a custom platinum ring from them 3 years ago for $1000. I sent them a very clear picture and talked to Kevin to make sure that it would look exactly like the picture and he said it would and we worked out the details. All seemed well during the process of making the ring, but I could not get Kevin to return my calls.

A few weeks later, I received my ring and it wasn't remotely like the picture. Not in the ballpark--not on the same earth. And what was Kevin's response? "It looks better this way." Way to be passive/aggressive, Kevin. I, under no uncertain terms, stated it was to look just like the ring in the picture.

Now, let's talk about the craftsmanship or lack thereof. These people have no pride in their work, apparently, because it was junk. The platinum had more scratches and dents on it in 3 days than my current ring does in 2 years. Think I'm exaggerating? Hardly. It's not really shocking, considering. So, they apparently cannot mix a decent alloy either. The prongs were uneven, the stones were set crooked, and the metalwork was uneven and pitted, which means bad casting. There were jeweler's tool marks all over the head of the ring, so they obviously only polished the shank.

So, then I call Kevin and tell him that it's nothing like picture. He told me what I mentioned above--that "it's better this way." I told him I wanted a refund or redo and he declined stating "there are no refunds on custom jewelry". Maybe, but when you don't deliver what you say you will, and the craftsmanship is shoddy, you need to make it right. Kevin doesn't agree. Exasperated, I involved my husband. The next conversation I had with Kevin he made a snide remark about sicing my husband on him. This is laughable, because my husband was very polite and calm with him even when Kevin was being completely unprofessional and berating.

So, I tell Kevin if he doesn't make this right, I'll involve the BBB. He laughs and says "go ahead". Well, come to find out that he already had an unsatisfactory rating at BBB, so what did he care. For the record, since then, it went to an "F" rating. Just take a look at that and notice the types of complaints he has and how much he 'cares'.

A month after filing a report, Kevin finally agrees to take the shoddy ring back and give me a credit for more crap on his website. Knowing that I'm out of options and Kevin isn't concerned in the least about pleasing a customer, I agree to this. Only GASP, he sends me $600 worth of stuff and never sends the rest. Shocker. I fought with him for another month before deciding that life is too short. I ended up throwing out the stuff he did send, because it was all awful, just like the original ring. I could not, in good conscience, sell the stuff I bought on Ebay or on other jewelry boards, since they were substandard.

If their BBB "F" rating and the numerous BUYER BEWARES listed all over the Internet (including here) is not enough for you, try them and prove it to yourself. And under no circumstances buy anything that is not returnable--which pretty much means buy stock sizes, stones and don't use platinum or get custom work. If you have a problem with being belittled, yelled at and generally treated like a stepchild, avoid this company like the plague.

They are the worst type of company: they get you in a corner with their return policy and then give you the minimum or nothing at all and tell you to deal with it. Why, why, WHY is this man still in business? Oh, that's right, loopholes. Never trust a business that has their attorney's information listed on their website.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about “consumer confidence” when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
