Blue Haven lied at just about every stage of our pool construction. To keep the story short: we had no project manager on the project ever and each team of sub-contractors did what ever they assumed to be proper. Our pool was excavated twice in the wrong spot and the excavator quit in a huff. The pool was never dug to the agreed upon depth.
Production was held up for a month because it was claimed that no excavator would be able to move our mammoth rocks- - - my wife and I moved them ourselves with landscape poles in order to beg them to resume production. Where we had paid 5000 extra dollars to have the pool built into the side of a constructed rock wall [but now made no sense because they were not going to place the pool as deep] they imagined a fountain and no screaming and begging on our part could stop the series of new sub-contractors from building variations of fountains that we had no interest in and were not in the plans... The salesman who sold us the pool claimed to be a landscape architect and promised he would manage the whole project. We never saw him again.
Actually, I realize no one would be interested in all of our details and I'll skip to the chase. They owe us, at the very least 5000 dollars and have laughed at my wife's tears. They send sleezy salesmen to the house periodically to see if they can use our pool- which we finished ourselves- in their advertisements. They did not have the tile or the plaster or the coping that we'd ordered and paid for, and used this lack as an excuse to not work on our pool at all for months at a time. They hung up on us and refused to work at all without continuous additional charges.
I would like nothing better than to shut these criminals down and would gladly help any victim now in a similar position- trying to get his pool finished with taking legal action. BUT, as I said, they anticipate this and factor it in. They have more lawsuits than pool plans. Three years later I still wake up and look first out of my window to see if they are there [after months of having to do that and days of phoning and begging for them to work- only to get lies and hang-ups].
They left all their trash and several feet of excess stone and gravel- making my lawn unable to grow grass. The spewed excess gunite and left it for me to haul away. Really dispicable people who let me know at every turn: ~We have most of your money and couldn't care less if we ever finish~.
