On December 13, 2007, I sent a check for $69.00 to KGLA Publications for a Whoswho Among Outstanding Students book, and never received it.

KGLA has moved without a forwarding address or telephone number, and took my money. They never sent the item. They are stealing from children.

Last year the book was named Whoswho amount middle school student. We received that book, with thousands of names and pictures in it.

This is a ripoff company, that has changed address and telephone number roughly 3 times I can find.

KGLA also goes by the name of Empire Publications, Holly Springs, GA, 1 866 574 5904. The address and telephone number is invalid. It's a terrible thing when something good goes bad. The 2006-2007 edition my son received was excellent. The scholarship contest winners, the essays on, who is your personal hero and why, were wonderful. We understand if the company went under, but you had an obligation to refund our money. Send me my money back. I have not and will not stop looking for you.

These bumbs had the nerve to send me another request for $69.00. They are now, Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence, Middle School Edition, 1200 G Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005-6705. (202) 407 6246. www.whoswhopublications.com. I spoke with them, and they said, they were not giving me any information regarding the corporate office they work for. They said they use the name, Whos Who, but it does not belong to them.

Do Not Send Who's Who any money. They are ripoffs.

The 2 companies are not the same as I have found out. The Registry located in Wash. DC . is in the same business I guess as klga in GA. My son in the 6th grade and was selected for the book but we did not buy anything at that time. We were contacted by a rep. in their company about him completing a scholarship application anyway. We sent in the essay and the application but he didn't get one. However, they did call and let us know that the winners were picked already. They were very courteous and seemed to be O.K. We did recieve a certifcate for filling out the scholarship stuff, which was really nice..
