Roy and Kyra Johnson who have introduced this report came to me several months back with issue regarding the program that they had signed up for with Lou Vuka.
I was very new to IDI Global at the time, but have extensive experience creating and managing real estate mentoring programs and have work very closely with some of the most successful single-family or residential real estate investors in the country.
When I was introduced to Roy he had already been in the program and had experienced many issues and was not happy. I told Roy that I felt confident that we could change all of that if he gave me and my team a chance. Roy obliged with a very tight written contract that stated that Roy and I would review his progress 4 weeks from that date and that if Roy was not satisfied we would go back to that date and negotiate a fair refund.
Here are a few samples from email communications between Roy and I that certainly paint a different picture from what is posted on this site:
"My wife and I certainly enjoy talking to Chris. She knows the business, but as we discussed before, and based on the money we've invested, we're expecting something substantial and something that we haven't already read in a book. “
Let me know your thoughts.
Roy"
And also:
"Cameron,
I talk to Tony this afternoon, and I was impressed with what he had to say. Hopefully, we can work through him to get help on financing.
Thanks,
Roy"
And:
"Cameron,
I'll be out of town the rest of the week, in all day meeting. I will have access to email during the day. I'll be back in-town by 6:00 or 7:00 Friday afternoon. I could be available via cell, but it will be late evening 9 or 10 central.
Thanks for your follow-up"
Unfortunately, my staff and I are only human, but I can show over 20 email communications direct from me to Roy being extremely responsive to any and all issues that Roy had, even issues that existed before I was working for IDI Global.
Roy and Kyra Johnson had access to Chris K., a very successful real estate coach who can produce recent success stories from student in every part of the United States. Obviously from Roy's own words he was working well with Chris and they were making progress as a team.
Roy and I spoke about some things that we needed to ammend, but overall he was satisfied and we were moving forward together as a team. As alway, I pledged my commitment to him and based on our written contract and agreement we were not refunding the money as originally agreed to, but were moving forward with the program. This was around the 4th of October, 2005.
Roy found properties and need financial assistance, which is where Tony G. came into the picture. Tony has successfully worked as a mentor and also now as a loan officer and was in the process of helping Roy try to obtain financial for a couple of properties in LA. Unfortunately, conventional financing was not possible on the deals Roy was looking at because the two properties were on the same parcel of land and had to be funded separately, together the properties were selling for $50k, but funding them conventionally separate was difficult to carry a note for $25k each. This was all information that Roy and Tony shared with me and was understood by both parties.
I received a communication from Kyra, Roy's expressing her discontent with mentoring program because "they were promised financing." Unfortunately, no one is promised financing, and all the help from great resources could not conventionally fund the deal in question.
Roy has my home phone number, my cell phone, my work line, any form of communication to get in touch with me, and has used them all. I feel that is pretty good customer service and Roy above even suggested that he appreciated my follow up. Likewise, Roy has spoken with Mel Feller, an incredible real estate coach/mentor, Chris K., Sarah K., Samantha Ames, Tony G., all whom were available to Roy to help him learn and apply real estate techniques.
If there's one thing I don't have it's a magic wand. I can make myself and hundreds of hours of resources available to students who are committed to their own success, but I cannot just make success appear. If there's one thing I do well, it's communicate. And I can provide proof of dozens of good, amicable communications with Roy. What changed was not IDI or the services Roy signed up to receive, what changed what Roy's and Kyra's commitment to the program. Anyway, anyone who would like further explanation can contact me directly by phone at 801.224.4444 x219 or by email at cameron.mcpherson@gmail.com.
I am sorry that Roy's experience turned out bad for him, he received months of personal attention to his real estate investing goals, agreed that their was progress, and now has received a full refund. Our intention is to always treat our clients fair, with the hope that the relationships we develop are long and prosperous for the students involved. We dedicated many hours to Roy and his concerns and met him every step of the way, I even agreed to give Roy and Kyra a refund when they requested it, but they never replied to my request for a date and time where we could have a phone conversation to discuss the issue.
By the way, the claim in this report are not only unfair and unfounded, but some of them are completely off-the-wall ridiculous, please read and judge for yourself. Or better yet, feel free to call me anytime.
Regards,
