My Sister and I were in the process of helping my Brother pack and clean his house in preparation of selling his house. It was raining outside. These two girls came to the door and asked us if we were nice people, and that they had met several people who were nice, but also met some that weren't very nice.

They explained that they were in a competition, and they were offering us an opportunity to save some money on magazines. They girls seemed to be very nice and friendly, and showed us a list of magazines that we could purchase for an attractive price. We only needed to pay half today, and send it the other half within 2-10 days. They said that if we didn't sent the other half in, we wouldn't get our magazines, and that she would not get credit for the sale.

My sister and I each ordered a magazine, and we gave the the downpayment by check. I completely forgot about sending the other half, but my sister sent hers in. I had intended to contact these people to ask about a refund, when I came upon this site on the internet. My story had many details similar to those listed. I really believe that they are scammers!
