Hello everybody! I'm sorry that Firstline Security is scamming people all over the U.S. I need to tell you that I live in the same state that Firstline H.Q. is located. Well if you see anybody with light blue shirts on and walking in your neighborhood, run and lock your doors! Do not trust these guys! They are sucking maggots of the world, scumbags and other words that I can't use here.

Well somebody came to my door saying crap about this neighborhood and the crime rate around the community up, lol, I should know I work for the city, and my friends are all cops. (I didn't tell him that yet) Now he talks about their monitoring rate as 44 bucks! What! Now I know he is really is BS-ing me, I used to work in the security field. Now he tells me it's a city thing, they are charging the fee, not them. More BS, I work for the city, we don't charge any fee for monitoring. The next thing he says about a free alarm system to me, no charge to me except about this monitoring fee of 44 bucks, WHAT!

I started to add up the money for a 3 years contract right in front of him, well it comes too 1600 bucks! I told him that's the same price of this alarm system you are giving me for free. What a scam! He told me they sell only GE security alarm systems and they cost about 1600 bucks for 5 zones = lol. I told him I know the systems, they are only 150 to 200 dollars for about 4 zones and you can get them off the web, then he started to yell at me about the systems “they are cellular!, well I said they sell for 250 on the GE web site and the system can call my cell phone if there is the problem at my house. So no-thanks to the monitoring fee, I will go by one off the GE website. This guy didn't know what to do now, and I had enough with this scammer, so I kicked him out of my house. (Geezzz 1600 bucks, what a bunch of %$##$%)

Look, don't trust anybody knocking on your door, I never have, I never will, oh yeah, check out homesecuritystore.com too, lol

Where is the Monitoring

Chip - Knoxville (U.S.A.)

What about the monitoring that you would have to pay??? Sure, you can find ANY equipment for cheaper online and with the right research. You STILL had to pay for the equipment and installation where as Firstline is giving it to you for free. The simple fact is, with the Cellular card in the panel, we are the only ones that can offer that to you, not at a store or the internet. But you STILL have to pay for monitoring to get that to connect to the police, fire, and abulance. With Cellular technology you are looking at an average of forty to sixty a month. Those are all mainstream prices that you can check through ADT, Brinks, Monotronics and others. But I guess those simple facts were over looked by those who pay two hundred dollars when they could get it for free...

Firstline Security: Your first line of lies

Onlythetruth - None (U.S.A.)

As a former intallation tech for Firstline, it is painfull for me to see the negative talk which is so abundant.

However, the truth is many of the dishonest things mentioned regarding the company are accurate.

The sales reps will tell you anything to get you to buy one of these alarms. Most reps aren't so bad, but the ones who actually did well selling had ery poor ethics. They told buyers that their alarms have smoke detectors built it the panel. Some go so far as to say that the landline comunication- as opposed to the cellular- can actually send signals if the phone line is cut.

My job as a tech, was not to inform homeowners of the reality or truth, it was to keep buyers from cancelling. You can imagine how difficult it was for me to describe a mini smoke detector, or worse, how a cut phone line can acutally comunicate. I got very creative in learning how to support the lies of our sales reps.

The alarm currently offered by Firstline is the Simon 3. In its day it was the best on the market, however 5 yrs later, like all technology, it is antiquated. However, the worst of all is how poorly these systems are installed.

Most installation techs are so poorly trained that it is laugable to see pictures of the work they've done, you can see details at my page ((((ROR removed for security purposes))) then click on the firstline category on the right side of the page.
