Even after several compliants about driver Harley Steele Comtrans allowed him to continue to work until he molested special needs children. Several reports were made to Edie the HR manager and to Tim the driver manager that this driver was making consumers "feel uneasy" that he scared some of them. One female in particular who filed a complaint with the call taker informed them that he had asked her to take off her shirt. And in another complaint against this driver the young lady said he drove around and around with her "like he was looking for a place to hurt me". The reports that were made to the call taker did go somewhere because the client recieved a call back from Tim.
However, They did nothing farther with these reports and then made him a school driver. Thus allowing him access to special need children.
Comtrans never talked to him about possibly having a problem. They never offered him any kind of therapy or help for the problems he was having. Tim even told a client that she needs to "just relax" around this driver. When she told Tim that she did not want Harley to drive her because she was certian he would harm her, Tim told her he could not stop Harley from driving her.
Harley is now facing several charges of molestation; however, Comtrans is still doing nothing about this. They are not even being honest with the police about all the complaints they recieved on him. They are not being honest to the public either. In a recent TV interview Neil Thomas stated that "they had no complaints on this driver, that he was well liked by all" I think Comtrans should be held just as responsible as Harley as they continued to allow him to drive consumers and overlooked serious allegations.

They now transport children all alone and portray child counselors without any formal training or credentials. Is this allowable?

I know for a fact Comtrans did everything they could. They also have a few employees that left and have bad feelings for the company for not letting them do a poor job. I have a child that is transported by Comtrans and they put Monitors on all of the vans and also take complaints very serious.
I called in because my child was running late and they gave me an answer in less than 2mins. I also have friends who are transported by Comtrans and they always answer any questions they have and handle complaints in a timely manner. I also know when I called and asked about the hiring process they told me they do FBI back round checks on all employees.
I think Comtrans goes beyond any other transportation company to keep are children and love ones safe while in transport. I will always recommend them when someone needs transportation.

I have a brain damaged child and I WOULD never allow her to ride ALONE on Comtrans or any transportation system!! She goes to school on the bus BUT she is driven by female drivers only (at my request)
Comtrans needs to do SOMETHING about THIS!!
