As stated in the title of my post I would like to retract my compliant regarding Tigerdirect & Onrebate.com. At the time I posted this I was upset about a misunderstanding between myself and Tiger/Onrebate.com. Had I exercised some patience and allowed Onrebate time to review my case I would not have submitted this compliant. The very next morning after posting my compliant I was contacted by the Mr. Gollan the CEO of Onrebate.com. The fact that he personally called me to respond to my compliant that I had emailed to his company reflects Onrebate.com's commitment to customer satisfaction. Mr. Gollan took the time to explain the processes involved in getting the rebate for my Niko LCD TV, and the guidelines to which rebates are approved and denied. It is clear to me that Onrebate or Tigerdirect do not benefit from denying Manufacturer rebates, in fact they only stand to gain from a positive customer experience. With that said I would suggest to anyone looking at purchasing from Tigerdirect and using Onrebate.com to redeem your rebate to pay close attention to the directions. In the event that an error occurs I would recommend that you have patience and contact Onrebate.com and keep a level head and work towards a solution. I can attest that the issues you may experience can be resolved. Bottom line I should have given Onrebate enough time to address my concerns before posting. I would have saved myself the trouble of submitting the original complaint and writing this post as well. My thanks to Bill and his team at Onrebate for getting my issue resolved.
Tiger Direct ripoff Naperville Illinois
i ordered a hp nx6110, the ca software bundle with three rebates plus 256 mb memory. even though the process is intense, i received all three rebates and took the fast pay option. additionally, they gave me an rma for the memory because i ordered the wrong type. even though i opened it, they credited to my credit card. all was done in a timely manner.
my advice to potential customers is to call and ask if you have any doubt about the rebate rules. i sent the incorrect upc for the computer because there was a upc on the small box the computer was packed in, which was the wrong upc. the correct one was on the master carton. i learned this by calling after my denial and dealing with a nice gentleman names Jesus. in fact, all my phone dealings were professional and courteous, and afer all is said and done, i feel badly because i acted like an ass on the phone after reading the rip off reports and even acused them that their business model is to not pay rebates. i was told how to resubmit my rebate which i received within a week.
i don't work for tiger direct or on rebate, but understand both sides of the process, was a skeptic, and now am a happy customer.
the computer was a deal, the ca sofware bundle was free after rebates, and the fact that they credited me for the opened memory should defend the bad press they get.
