A charge appeared on my bill from Frontier phone Co. by OAN Services, inc.. Billed on behalf of Nationwide Connections, Inc.. For a collect call from Branford Ct 203 483 9161 for $7.78.
It was on a Sunday January 4 at 1056A m..I was the only one in the building all day and I don't accept collect calls.Nor answer the phone on Sundays.
I phoned Frontier to protest. They said to call 1-800 343 5114. When I did and told her about the collect call she claimed that she was at a prize distribution center and to call 222 0300.
That turned out to be a regular AT&T number. So I emailed the Better Business Bureau.
They wrote to OAN at their Ca, address. Their requests were ignored so the BBB closed their files on OAN and won't do any thing more except to make my complaint a part of the data on OAN.
So I don't know what to do now except send all the data to Frontier and refuse to pay the $7.78.
They must know it's a crooked scheme so I don't know why the phone companies continue to pass the phony charges on to their customers?
