I was misled by a telemarketer by the name of Stuart Harvey that my phone number had been selected to participate in a survey. I was promised a free $500 shopping spree and a confirmation number given to me immediately after giving them my checking account information to charge my account $4.95 for a shipping fee for the survey and the shopping spree. I was put on hold for a recording that would confirm everything that was stated to me and would give me a confirmation number. I was literally put on hold for 10-minutes and then disconnected.

I called the 1-800-357-9153 customer service number and no one could help me because they would not have my telephone number information until 3 to 4 business days. By then my account would be drafted and I still will not have a confirmation of the $4.95 or the $500 shopping spree. I was however, given a website address by the customer service person, but the address doesn't match the company name or program that was initially given to me.

I notified my bank immediately and the only thing that could be done is a complete closing of the account. This is not an easy thing to do at the end of the month because I have direct deposit and automatic bank drafting for other household bills. Everything has to be redone. I regret this ever happened. Please stop them from ever taking advantage of some unsuspecting elderly on a fixed income. Please....

Thank you,
