Rocket Communication Svcs, Inc knowingly added a fee for EFAX & VMAIL to my AT&T phone bill without any authorization from me. A fee of $12.95 plus taxes came to a total of $14.31 added on my phone bill for new services provided. New services that were never asked for and that AT&T just added on without confirming with me that this service was wanted by me.

The phone number that is listed on my phone bill to contact them with any questions I have is not being answered by anyone. I get as far as entering my phone number and pressing 1 for English and then I am cutoff. As far as trying to contact AT&T, yesterday I was on hold for 42 minutes before I gave up.

I don't know if I will get any answers from AT&T because they state right on the bill that if I have any questions about this new service provided I should call the number of the provider which is Rocket Communication Svcs, Inc which is not taking calls.

Could AT&T be working with this scam?

Consumers beware and check your bill every month. I am determined not to pay this charge and have it removed from my bill and I will keep calling until I can find someone who will talk to me about the problem. After all my AT&T plan is authorized by me for unlimited local calls and a set fee for long distance calling....as far as I know that hasn't been changed without my knowledge!

Rocket Communication Svcs, Inc Palm Harbor Florida finally answers phone.

AUTHOR: Betty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 05, 2009

Rocket Communication Svcs, Inc finally answered my phone call yesterday. I talked to a lady named Geana and she assured me that she would remove unauthorized charge from my phone bill and contact AT&T to let them know I wasn't to pay for the unauthorized charge. She seemed very friendly and helpful. All I can do now is wait and see if the charge is removed from bill. She didn't say why the charge was added to my account only asked if I had authorized it. I will let everyone know how things turn out.

its called cramming and its illegal - ONGOING SCAM - NOTHING NEW!

No AT&T is not part of the scam - and they should be working with you to cancel it. This information is from another complaint board called 800nnotes

They have an article 16 Ways You Can Be Phone Scammed - published in NOV 08

"Cramming": When monthly charges pop up on your telephone bill for optional services that you never authorized such as voice mail, paging, or club membership, it's called "cramming." You may be asked to return a missed call because it's 'Your lucky day' and you've won a trip to Las Vegas. When the call is made, an automated system is activated and you are unknowingly enrolled in a club or program, and the charge is placed on your phone bill. The crammer might not even need to do anything except simply pick your phone number out of the blue and place charges on your bill through your local telephone company, claiming that you agreed to purchase some services.
Look at your bill closely every month. Charges for optional services should be itemized and show the name of the company providing them and its phone number. If you did not authorize the services, call that number and insist that they be canceled and the charges removed from your bill.

Also, consider putting a third party block on your phone service. It's often free and it does not let any third party add charges to your phone bill.
