Was contacted by uShip on July 8, 2007, that a match had been found for transporting a sailboat from North Carolina to Arizona. On July 12, 2007, I received an email from Northern Haulers that they wanted $600 to be sent either through the mail or a wire transfer to their bank (Northside Community Bank, Chicago, Il.) as soon as possible to schedule my shipment promptly.

On July 13, 2007, I wire transferred the funds to his bank as instructed (have receipt and account #'s.). I then waited for word from them if they received it and when my sailboat would be transported.

I spoke with Mr. Schintgen a few times over the next several weeks and he indicated that his secretary, Jenny had been having some personal problems and that was why my emails were not answered. On the weekend of August 4, 2007, Mr Schintgen indicated that he would be able to pick up the boat in NC but those dates came and went as did my phone messages. I was finally told that it would be at least ten more days. I tried in vain to reach them so I could notify the seller of the impending pick up.

On August 15, I received a reply to an email I sent the previous day. "Jenny" said this was the first email she had received from me (I had sent a dozen at this point) and that Mr Schintgen was in an area of "no service" and she had been trying to reach him all week but she thought that he was planning on picking up the boat soon.

Subsequent emails and phone calls went unanswered. On August 19, I requested my deposit back since no service had been rendered. I have had no contact.
