I have been an employee of Platinum Television now for the past 7 months. I have been able to witness first hand all that goes on within this company. I have to say it is both an Honor and a Privilege to work for Platinum Television.
They have never done anything to my knowledge that has been misrepresenting either to the employees that work there or the public that they contact. Every morning we have a meeting to go over all the things that will make our existence at Platinum Television better as an employee, as a person and more knowledgeable to the people we speak with. We are taught how NOT to miss-represent what we do and to always be honest with the utmost respect for the companies and organizations that we either interview with or feature as a guest on our show.
Some of our conversations are monitored randomly, and any employee that misrepresents our company or what we do here is severely repremanded, warned and put on probation or terminated from employment. This is not tolerated at this company. The major difference of Platinum Television to other's in the industry is, that we do what we say we will do, and we give it all in writing.
When an organization goes through an interview and then is being considered as a featured guest, there is a process that we go thru to determine whether a company or an organization is suitable to be on one of our many shows that they produce. I have contacted Robin from the previous complaint and explained to her exactly what we do here. When I noticed a particular religious item on her company website, I commented about some of my own beliefs and mentioned that we were featuring a company similar to the company she had listed on her site, it was not the exact company that was listed on her site, but in her mind she thought that she heard me say that they were the one's being featured on one of our shows, so she called them to verify if they were going to be on our show, and of course they had never heard of us, well that set off a red flag in her head, and I can understand that, BUT, that wasn't the company I was referring to, It was a company similar to that company, and after speaking with her she understood, and we both realized we had made a mistake.
Unfortunately in any business you will not be able to please everyone, and there will always be someone who will complain about something. With close to 4000 productions aired over the past years, Platinum Television has few complaints, and those complaints have either been satisfied or are being taken care of as we speak. But as far as a rip off, a rip off is when someone pays for something and doesn't receive what they have paid for. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE!
When a company is being featured on national television, they not only receive a copy of a first class production that they sign off and approve before it is even aired, they receive all the rights to re-utilize the segment for any future usage, they now own that production, and best of all that particular segment does air for the specified and agreed upon times that is in the Participation Agreement. All the companies and organizations that are featured work in coordination with our production team, and must sign off and approve on each and every step we take in making the segment before it is ever aired on National Television. What a wonderful opportunity for any company or organization to educate the public on so many issues of national interest.
I have read some of the comments from some of the X-Employees who couldn't cut it at Platinum Television write such vicious lies about an organization like Platinum Television that has helped and donated so much money and time to so many good causes and charitable work. I will not make any excuses for what I do here as a creative director, and can only say that if I was to leave this company tomorrow, I would look back and say that I am a better and smarter person then I was before I took this position.
Anyone can post what ever they want on this website, unfortunately, not all of it tells the facts or the whole truth. If the New York Times was to publish a story, they check it and double check it before they call it worthy of being called real news, in the Enquirer, they get sued more times for misrepresenting what they write, but who cares, when they get sued, and that's more publicity, so they sell more magazines. Before you Judge or tarnish the reputation of a good company, remember all it takes is a few more phone calls, go to the source, talk to the president of the company, get all the versions of the story, not just some of the facts, all of the facts, for in life, half measures avail us nothing, and more times than none, they do harm.
