On May 17, 2007 I placed an online order (# 271152) with Video Silo to convert 10-Hi8 videotapes to DVD and data-DVD. I paid $230 by MasterCard on May 18th.

A few days later I received a postage paid shipping envelope that I put the tapes in and mailed it the next day. I received an email on May 31st saying "Your tapes have arrived, current processing time is 5 business days..."

After 2 months I emailed 5 times, and called (nothing but voicemail responses) 3 times, but had no response. Finally, on Aug.8, 2007, I received an email from 'FedEx Tracking Updates' saying the tapes were being returned by Digital Silo, 1-FedEx Home Delivery Package. Signature required. Tracking # xx6267".

I checked online at FedEx.com and the Status said "Package data transmitted to FedEx, Ship Date Aug 7, 2007, Est. delivery Aug 9, 2007. Service type-Home Delivery-Direct-Signature Required.

On Aug 9th I waited at home all day so as not to miss the delivery, then decided to call FedEx to be sure it was on it's way that day and not another date. I called 800-GOFEDEX and spoke to Carla at the Chicago FedEx office at 1:50pm(8/9/2007), and she said "I have bad news...The shipping label was made by Zig Zag on 8/7/2007, but they never requested Pick-up, no order has been processed by us, there will be no delivery at all."

I asked for more details regarding the sender, but she said disclosure was not allowed.

I have read complaints online about Video Silo, and they did the same to others. I want my Videotapes returned and money refunded. The tapes can not be replaced. The company is owned by Scott and Michael Wolf; they own several other companies, ResiSoft-Highland Park, IL; VDC Corp, IL; XTrades, Northbrook, IL; Monday Morning Quarterback, Northbrook, IL, MpegNation,Digital Silo, Video Silo, Northbrook, IL.
