After discovering my water heating was leaking, I contacted First American (Sunday 1 Nov). They claimed they would dispatch the claim, and that a service tech would call me the next day to set up service. After I called back three times the next day I was given the name of the company that would be assigned to fix the problem. I called the plumbing company and they said they could get a person out there in 2 - 3 days. Keep in mind, we have no Hot Water since Sunday night.

It is now Monday and I am told they could check it out around Wednesday or Thursday. Note: The plumbing company tells me that on the first call they will only identify the problem, they will not and cannot fix it on the first call. I call First American and let them know that this is unacceptable and that I want them to redispatch for quicker service. (Still no HOT WATER in sight) I call the contracted plumbing Company and it simple English they tell me First American stinks. They state that it is likely First American would find reasons to charge numerous extra fees for such things as update safety codes etc... I call First American to check the status, NO CHANGE, NO SERVICE ON THE WAY, NO NEW COMPANY CONTACTED.

I make a command decision, and hire a local company. My water heater is changed, pipes updated all within the next 12hrs for a cost of under $700 dollars. The statement, "You get what you pay for," holds true.
FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY STINKS. Do not purchase a warranty from them.
