This company in one of the reasons why weddings are so stressfull. Almost one year after my wedding, I am still dealing with them. After shipping my linens back to them, I was contacted months later and told that I owed an additional charge. This charge was caused because I allegedly returned my linens too late.
Being that I shipped them 2 days later than I was supposed to, I agreed to pay the charge of a ridiculous 40% of my original total.
The problem with this company is after sending checks, they will hold them for up to a month and then send you a letter claiming that the check was returned for non-sufficient funds. They then will charge you a check return fee. After this happened twice, when I knew that the money was in my account, I contacted my bank. It turns out that the checks were never presented. My bank informed me that companies can verify funds before presenting checks. What this company is doing is holding the checks until they can verify that your account is lower than the sufficient amount so that they can charge extra fees. I of course, will only send money orders now.
It is also very hard to get a hold of anyone of importance. Whenever I call the account manager Krystal, if that is really her name because according to customer service rep. Sarah, they are not authorized to give out last names, she is always out. This company has also changed their name from Nationwide Linen Rentals to USA Linen and Chair Cover Rentals. I wonder why. Most legitmate business don't change their names and disconnect their phones without contacting clients about it. Also, what legitimate business doesn't give out last names. Is it because they know that thay are shady?
I just have gotten a very bad vibe about this shady business and want to warn others to look elsewhere for wedding rentals. Believe me, it will save you a lot of headaches. I also looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website under Nationwide Rentals, and they do have an unsatisfactory rating due to bad business practices. Beware!
