What a great seminar the doctors presented to us. The staff is very friendly and gave an outstanding services. They have a unique style that everyone could just sit there and relax comfortably and wait fot the doctors to come see us.

There were too many people during my appointment but the center, staff and doctors managed and maintain their professionalism. I was asked by a different doctors because they want to help not only by losing weight but also getting rid off other stuff that could affect my healthy lifestyle. Basicaly It was explain during the seminar that the doctors and staff wants all the patient to get better and have a healthy lifestyle.

These doctors are very honest and very helpful. Although the insurance won't cover my procedure and price is a little expensive, they still help me to pay the procedure and I am very thankful for that. I am paying 200+ dollars per month for my procedure. They're their for you if you are having a financial hardship, they will never let you down. Now I am losing almost 100 lbs and Im having a normal, happy and healthy life.

Absolutely not a ripoff. I respect the criticism and the opinion of people but these people would not do that for the sake of their own benefit. These doctors really cares and will give you the best possible accomodation you deserve. It's like your own "HOME" they will treat you as a family not just a client or a regular patient.

I was on my way to their office from North of Bakersfield and I got stuck in the middle of the road because of the accident on the freeway that day. To cut the story short I was 3 hours late and I was thinking of going back home. I still decided to come anyways because I am already more than half way though. When I arrived there the seminar was already done. Horrible day for me. But the office gave a private seminar to me and a private consultation as well. Very kind people and very professional. My insurance didn't cover the procedure so I decided to do financing and the same day I got approved!!! Alas!!! I never pay more than $300 bucks out of pocket every month. Thanks for all the help and patience.

The doctors and staff always find a way to accomodate you and help you all the way until you get it done. I never get rip off!!! Thanks again to Topsurgeons and Weight Loss Centers for all your help. I will absolutely recommend my friends to the center.

Hi my name is Chelsey. The comments posted are absolutely not true about the LapBand doctors. I just checked it myself under the medical board of CA. The doctors who performs the Lapband procedures are well experience and board certified providers. I went their for a consultation and the doctors are very knowledgeable and very professional. The facility is very clean and organized. Rooms are tidy and clean as well. All the staff were very friendly and always maintain their professionalism.

I called the AAAHC and ask about their center and they said that the center is fully accredited with them. I also checked online (Medical Board of CA) none of the Lapband doctors have negative records under their name.

I had a couple of MOHS surgeries done at their center and all the instruments that were used has been sterilized.

I do not think the center will get accredited if they don't follow the AAAHC rules and regulations and also patient care.

Be Careful of These Guys

Two people I know saw these guys. The were completely turned off.

Yes, the doctors are nice people, but that doesn't make them good or qualified. They checked around. How many legitimate hospitals are these surgeons privileged at for practicing bariatric (weight loss) surgery? Did they SUCCESSFULLY finish training programs in this specialty, or did they simply go through a training course? What is their follow-up program? The answers were not too flattering.

I went to a surgeon who was professional AND has been an expert in this field for a long time. When I checked around, my surgeon was RESPECTED BY A LOT OF PEOPLE, not just the other surgeons in his group, or his friends in the medical community. My surgeon, and his colleagues, are true experts. This is important to me. Getting it right 90% of the time isn't good enough for me, and shouldn't be for anyone. Find someone that gets it right 99.9% of the time.

I to believe this is a rip off from my personnal experience.

Yes, the people in the office are extremely nice in both the San Bernardino and Beverly Hills office. And yes, they make you feel comfortable even when you are scared. And yes, if I could have had the procedure done under my insurance than I would have done it; but I made it clear that I was not in anyway going to finance this procedure.

So, they told me everything I wanted to hear plus...your insurance won't pay UNLESS you have stomach problems which require surgary and at which time we can install the Lab Band while we are "correcting" your stomach problem. I told them I didn't have stomach problems, however, the insurance claim specialist at the office said that I should still go to the Beverly Hills office to have it checked out since it would be no charge and it would only be a one day procedure.

Of course, I wanted to have the main procedure because I wanted to be "skinny" and my best instincts went out the door. I knew what she was hinting too...document it with another procedure so the insurance would pay for it and not question it since it would not be a "Lab Band" procedure but instead a "stomach correction due to indegestion" and when they were "correcting" the stomach they would install the "Lab Band" at the same time. They are good with senerios for insurance documents.

I went to the first of 2 procedures in Beverly Hills. This procedure consisted of having a scope down my throat to take pictures of my stomach...mind you I have no problems with my stomach and I said this a couple times. More or less...I went there and went under sleep for less than 5 minutes and no scope down my throat but I have pictures of my stomach....LOL LOL Someone elses stomach in bad shape! Get it...Insurance fraude once again. I left there telling my husband I believe I made the wrong mistake on doing this since they are willing to rip off the insurance they will rip me too! Sure enough, they tried double and triple charging for this procedure which my insurance REFUSED to pay since it was not within the normal charge, so Lap Band has sent me bills totaling $1300 AFTER my insurance paid for $5K of it plus another bill is still outstanding for another $10K that my insurane company is fighting because this procedure alone should have only cost under $5K total; however Lab Band is trying to charge over $15k for just a scope down the throat to take a picture! This wasn't even a SURGURY! RIP OFF!

Oh, lastly, I went and seen my family doctor and she requested my stomach pictures...and guess what! They won't give them to her even though I have given her my concent.

Watch out for these people. I beleive there are some people they really do help who really deserve the Lab Band but people like me trying to find a quick fix they will try to do everything to rip insurance companies and me off since they don't check what is covered.

Ripped off my them as well, the only thing slim is the wallet - beware

My wife and I just moved to So California. We saw the 1800getslim commericals everyday. my wife called them, email them weeks went by finally someone contacted us. We were told to come in see the doctor and they would explain it all. We meet the doctor, nice guy, we were told it was going to be covered under insurance so we scheduled the camera down the throat procedure. After having the procdure done, the phone was off the hook, no returned calls, no email etc. Now we find out it's not covered by our insurance and we have received over $17K in bills for the camera procedure.

Stay clear of them, they will slim your wallet only.
