As a single mother of 2, I have been hard hit by the recent credit crunch and am desperately seek legitimate ways of making a bit extra to make ends meet.

Freelance Homewriting seemed like a possible option so for the nominal fee of $2.95 (£1.53) I requested some further information. An impossibly long document of endless information was sent to me which contained nothing really except repetitive promises of making money, rags to riches stories and testimonials.

I decided that I really couldn't be bothered with this kind of deal so I took no further action and wrote off the $2.95 I had paid as a lesson learnt. Thinking nothing more of this, I was suprised when a couple of days later I received a call from the States and someone asking me if I would like a consultation regarding the freelance homewriting.

I told them that I wasn't interested and would be taking my enquiry no further. Within minutes I had a second phone call. I repeated what I had said and was ensured that my order would be cancelled. This was rather strange given that I had never placed an order and I pointed this out to them. I was assured that my details would be cleared from their system and everything would be cancelled.

I couldn't believe my eyes a couple of days later when I checked my bank statement and had been charged £30 for going over my limit. Further down the line, it was clear that this was because a payment of £25.67 ($49.95) had been deducted from my account by guess who......Freelance Homewriters.

I immediately contacted my bank and told them what had happened and fortunately they were understanding and refunded the bank charge. At the same time, I sent an email to Freelance Homewriters support team asking them to refund the $49.95 which they had taken without my authorisation. I still await a reply and am too afraid to contact them by telephone in case I am landed with a huge bill for calling their 0800 number.

To make matters worse, this company have then had the audacity to send me another email (supposedly from Charles Wellmore) asking me to check out work they have available. I want to unsubscribe from them but I am worried that I may lose all contact with this dreadful company and prevent any chance , however small of ever getting my money back.

This company has preyed on people who are desperately trying to keep their financial heads above water and are looking for legitimate ways to improve their lives. Instead Freelance Homewriters.com has only served to make their situations worse, plunging people further into the debt they were trying to get themselves out of. I feel extremely angry that companies like this can abuse peoples interest in them and steal from them in this way. I hope they get brought to justice and are made to payback everyone who has been ripped off by them.
