Resently my mother bailed my niece out of jail, in the process of this my mother needed to provide id at the jail. She produced her driver's license which we all have done when either writing a check or obtaining alcohol. Her license contained her social security number.
Since that time my niece has manage to totally destroy my mother's credit in the matter of 6 months. In February she contacted the 3 major credit reporting agencies to put a hold on her social security number. Which should have stopped Teri from purchasing anything in her grandmother's name. WRONG!
Tonight I discovered she had not 1 but 2 cell phones which she obtained on 5/7/02. How could she do this if the cell phone checked the social security number like they claim they did could she still be using her number? The cell company was NEXTEL.

One: Why was she in jail/ Some sort of fraud? Your mother was very kind in helping your niece but the niece has demonstrated her appreciation by defrauding your mother: your mother needs to seek criminal charges against your niece. Sounds mean? What kind of person would to that to anyone lest of all to a kind Aunt? A criminal who needs to be back in jail. Sorry, but as painful as it may seem that is what she really needs.
