Golds Gym said if i opened a new account they would drop the money owed St. George Utah

i owed golds gym about $500 and i had been making payments of $100 every month. i went in to make a payment one day and i only had $100 left that i owed. anyway they told me if i would just sign a new contract then they would erase my old one and i wouldn't have to pay the rest. so of course i did. so now i have been going for about 4 months since i signed the new contract and everything is going good. then i get a call from their financing company "Paramount Acceptance" saying i owe them $600 for my old contract, because i haven't made a payment in 4 months. so i told them no way, golds gym erased my old contract. they then said golds has no power to do that and i owe them this money no matter what. so i go back into golds gym and talk to the Linda, the same lady who made my new contract, and asked her what this was all about. then she sat there and denied right to my face setting up a new contract, and said i didnt even have a contract at all. i told her i had been going to the gym 4 times a week for the last 4 months, there is no way i could have gone into the gym without a pass. so pretty much they canceled my contract and now i'm stuck with a $600 bill to their financing company which was almost payed off in the first place.
