I am not sure of a couple of things you have posted, so pardon my ignorance while I seek to help you out. I am a current student graduating the end of May 2011. I have been attending AIU Online since Oct. 2009, not once have I been privvy to another students letter grade so on we go...
- How is it that you have that information?
- If you legitimately have that knowledge have you filed a grievance?
- Not all letter grades transfer, I have verified with APSU (local University) what they accept in transfer credits and what they do not, they will not accept a transfer of a C or lower.
- Paying for books that are included in your tuition, in my experience I have not seen this charge since it is after all included in my tuition charges.
- While in all my classes you can in fact "turn in anything", however, I have not met a professor yet who would grant an A to an inferior work.
- The statement that you "... could fell (sic) as many classes as I wanted" probably indicates the majority of your problem. Why you would want to fail a class is beyond me, but if you do fail them they most likely will not transfer.
What I believe the problem to be is this, you didn't have a grade point average suficient for classes to transfer. Based on your grammatical and spelling abilities displayed in your post, I feel safe in that assumption. The costs you list are inflated based upon my experience with AIU. The most I have paid for an hour is $339, which if you multiply out to the 12 hours, which you claim to have paid $6000 for, you get $4068 for 12 hours.
I don't intend to insult you, but academic institutions can decline credits based upon your ability to complete them, I have had no issues with credits transfering 6 months ago when I considered moving to Austin Peay Staute University. The change to a classroom from online is what stopped me, not the transfer.
