In July 2009 I graduated from Devry Unversity.About a week or two after I graduated, I got a call from some guy from the corporate office named Don. He said that my Pell Grants were reversed as a result of "my poor performance". The fact of the matter is that, 3 out of my last four classes were "D's". But I still graduated with a 2.4 GPA. I argued the fact that I am still over the 2.0 minimum that the Pell Grant rules require. So after stumbling his way through his ridiculous rhetoric; He said that I also made too much this year. I informed him that My wife and I made 54,000. this year, thats only 4,00. more that the previous year! Now Erika Ditzenberger, the Financial aid lady from Devry in San Antonio said the reason why my pell grants were reversed had nothing to do with my grades. She could only tell me that my account was audited and they found that I didnt qualify for pell grants because I made too much. Now pardon my French, but this is Bull****!

As a result of Devry University's incompetence in auditing accounts, I was reversed actually back in March, but was allowed to keep going to school until after July (when I graduated).Now I am being denied my Bachelor's degree in Technical Management.I told both Erika and Don that I would never have gone back to Devry and finished my degree if I had known that they were going to put me through this. I would have never reenrolled until I had enough money to cover my tuition. I also asked, why they continued to let me go to school if my pell grants were actually reversed back in March? They said that they didnt know because, I was not audited until July. This episode has caused me such embarassment and mental anguish. Because, I worked so hard for this. I pulled off getting my B.A.S. in Technical Management after being a troubled young man who was a high school dropout,and I did this all while supporting my wife and child. So, yeah this causes me great embarassment when I tell people that I have a bachelor's degree in Technical Management and I do not have an actual degree to show for it.
