Hello to those seeking education/higher learning/intellectual stimulation:

My nightmare with Techskills began after I signed on the dotted line.  I quickly realized that this school simply uses CBTs that were made in 1989 that copied and paster new material in a very dry, dull and boring format for explanation that you could easily replicate or "copy" their method on your own by simply walking into a Barnes and Nobles and buying the most current book from better writers who could explain a lot better and could entertain you along the way as well (I'm talking about the book).  These people including my "mentor" because you have to constantly keep in mind that the thousands you paid for class(Es) don't even get you an actual instructor who is qualified to teach let alone someone who knows all the requiste material YOU are trying to learn.

I can assure you all the previous posters were dead on in terms of the general environment of ALL Tech skills.  Now I can't speak for all of their 'mentors' because it seemed the guys working on 'Applications' like databases i.e Oracle etc seem to be more productive and more energized about their studies and I think it was because their mentors (mostly indian) were more proactive and accessible not to mention more smarter and I am basing it on actual eyewitness of the personal nature ofcourse!

When I grew tired of the CBTs. there was nothing ot noone to turn to as the instructor errrrr my bad mentor would simply tell you that you have to do the CBTs until you get the right grade and only then can you move on to the next set of CBTs and so on.  THE MORAL OF THR STORY IS SHORT OF SOME GOOFY LABS AND HASTILY ASSEMBLED PC/NETWORK EQUIPMENT, you can have the same basic results if you did it on your own and exercsied some simple discipline day to day. 

Tech SKills will offer you nothing above and beyond what your own basic resources (i.e motivation, concentration, interest) can already do for you on your own!  Some others seem to have felt they were ripped off and I agree that they were but in the end, you have to do your just-do as well as do your homework and realize that this reports serve as a warning that if he sounds too good to be true, it probably is and only go to school which you know have a proven track record. 

Finally, YOU CAN DO CERTIFICATION ON YOUR OWN!!  YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY THOUSANDS TO SOMEONE WHO WILL ONLY "REFER" YOU TO YOUR OWN RESOURCES WITHOUT PROVIDING YOU ANYTHING ABOVE BEYOND THAT NOTION!
