    Corporate Advocacy Program
I was contacted by a law firm from Texas this week saying that I owed City County Credit Union almost $6500. When I asked what this was in reference to they explained it was for the College Network.

When I told them that I had dropped out of this program, they told me that I was still responsible for the loan from this bank. That I only had 3 days to cancel and it had to be in writing. I contact the College Network and told them that I would not be participating in this program and ask if there was anything else that I need to do. I was told no. Now over a year later I am receiving phone calls from this nasty law firm...accusing me of trying to get something for free. They threatened to take my licence, garnish my wages, then this jerk from the law firm said to me "Lady you are just trying to get something for free. And this is not how life works." I was apalled.

This rip-off artist (TCN) is taking all kind of money from people trying to better their lives for their families. If I tried this scam I would have already been arrested and put in jail. But, I could not take money from hard working people who do not have it.

This company does not return phone calls, for the very reason that...THEY WANT TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!! If anyone has a lawyer or has filed a compalint with a judge please let me know!!!!! Or if any lawyer is interested by contact me, ASAP!

There is soooo much more that I would love to say about this scam, but it make me phyically ill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your complaint

AUTHOR: The College Network - Indianapolis (U.S.A.)

Dear Customer,

I am unable to determine who you are by the information provided, but I would be more than happy to address any concerns if you contact me at 1-800-634-1443.

Based on the information you have provided, it appears as though your account has been sold to a third party collection agency. The College Network does not contact customers regarding deliquency or default.

With regard to your statement that you had cancelled your contract and were told you did not have to do anything else, I would like to state that we take the cancellation period very seriously. If a request to cancel is made in a timely manner it is honored. Always.

When you say your phone calls go unreturned I am not sure if you are referring to TCN or the collection agency. We are here M-Th from 8-11 EST and on Fridays from 8-9 EST. We are more than happy to assist you or answer any questions.

I am sorry you are dissatisfied with your purchase. I hope I have addressed your concerns. Feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Rick
