I would like to report on my experience with TheLadders.com website. This is a website that supposely has the in on executive jobs over $100K. My experience with this website has been a total waste of time and money. I signed up on their six (6) month plan which cost me $128.00. They offer several different options for you to join...one (1) month for $30.00; quarterly; half year and annual for $360.00. You can't find out alot until you try one of these plans. As I said, I signed up for the half year at $128.00. You write up the normal profile and then you can start sending resumes and contacting recruiters. During the six(months) that I used this service, I never got one response from an employer or a recruiter. All of the jobs are so detailed and the requirements to apply for these jobs are extremely excessive. I don't believe "God" himself could fill these required qualifications or could get a job with the employers listed on the Ladders website. By the way, most of the jobs are confidential and you don't know the name of the company when you apply. This leads me to believe these jobs are not for real. The recruiters that you are supposed to have full access do not allow you to contact them by phone. The only way you can communicate with a recruiter is to send them a resume and if they want to talk to you they will call you back. During the six months, I used the service, no recruiters ever called me back. The Ladders Website gives you alot of information about the job market and how supposely you can crack through the $100k job market barrier. They offer glowing; satisfied references from people who have been sucessful using the Ladders website to attain employment. Of course, you can't contact any of them for their own personal critique of the Ladders. My personal feeling about this service is that The Ladders website is slick marketing tool to get money from desperate job seekers. I have spent a lot of money in the last few years with these types of services and my advice would be to anyone considering using the Ladders is: don't waste your time and money. Just contact the companies directly that you want to target for employment. I think the internet is a total waste of time for any of these similar services such as: CareerBuilder.com and Monster.com and many, many others. Don't waste your money, because, all these companies are doing is preying on desperate job seekers and wanting to separate them from their money.

I hope this write up will help others and dissuade anyone from using these services.

I have utilized WWW. RIPOFFREPORT many times in my job search; checking out unreputable companies and it has helped me save a lot of time and money. I hope this report does the same for other people.

I agree with this post completely

I have experienced the same events as described by the author of this report. In my case I had at least 6 jobs that I met every last piece of qualification...Not a single call from either a recruiter or a company. Given my education level and work experience, I should have at least recieved a follow up of some sort.

Not one thing, not even a e-mail "Thanks for applying" letter.

At best this site is an employement search engine that provides limited value to its customers. At worst it's a flat out scam. I tend to think it's gravitating to the latter.

Stay far far away
