This letter is to explain, in detail, the events that took
place between April and now, among me and the merchant, First Web Search. I will include the details of what the
merchant said and what I was expecting; in addition, what I did actually
receive.
I first began speaking with First Web Search at the end of
April, 2009. I spoke with the same
representative for a few days, to a week.
I was speaking to Regi Jeter about my goals for my company We spoke about the
results I was looking for. He stated if
my website was on the first page, top ten on the top search engines, such as
Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com, that my business would sky rocket. We went over the keywords I would need to use
and he showed me how the keyword “Loan Modification” gets 1,300 hits before
4:00PM on a daily basis and that my business would grow rapidly. He stated that with the $1,000 package, I
would be on the “first page, top 10 of the top search engines within 35-45
days, with specific keywords, like Loan Modification”. In summary I was promised the following in
return for $1,000:
My company’s website would be on the top of the first page, in the top ten on major search engines (such as; Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com) within 35-45 days. The basis of this success was to center the marketing campaign around the keyword “Loan Modification”. On April 29, 2009, I was finally SOLD to purchase this service.
The representative, Regi assisted me during the payment for services,
via First Web Search’s online check-out.
When I paused to begin reading the service agreement, he interrupted by
telling me I did not need to read this because it did not pertain to me. He continued to explain that this service
agreement was for Pay-Per-Click advertisers only, which I was not setting up a
Pay-Per-Click campaign, and therefore, did not pertain to me. When it was complete, he transferred me to a
lady to verify my order. She stated that
I understood the set-up fee and I stopped her right there and said Regi told me
there would be no set-up fee, just the $1,000 for the package and I also
verified that the bottom of the order form was for Pay-Per-Click customers
only. She said “yes” and proceeded to
finish the order verification. I was
told I would receive a FedEx package in the mail within 24-48 hours and a
Project Manager would call me to go over everything.
On Thursday, April 30, 2009 I found out that I was scammed. I did not receive a call by 11:30AM, so I
took it upon myself to contact the Project Manager, (Daniel, at extension
311). I began reviewing everything that
Regi told me (above mentioned) and Daniel informed me that this is not
possible. Daniel stated the following
points:
1. I
could not be on the first page of the top search engines within 35-45 days
2. I
could not use keywords I spoke with Regi about (Loan Modification)
3. I
could not come close to being on the first page
I then told Daniel, “So everything I was promised and led to
believe will be done, can not be done?”
Daniel replied, “I don’t know why he told you that, that’s impossible.” I also confirmed this with the manager, who
told me he would fire the sales representative, Regi, but would not give me a
refund. The management was so rude to me
on the phone after telling me I would not receive a refund, he said have a good
day and hung up. I tried to resolve the
issue with them directly numerous times that day by trying to speak to someone
else and I was not able to get connected to anyone. Since First Web Search was reluctant, I filed
a claim.
In addition, days later, I received a FedEx package from
First Web Search, which I denied at my front door. I did not want to accept anything from them
unless it was my money back. Also,
I did not get any service, there was nothing I received nor done for me. I paid $1,000 because I was lied to and
scammed. The manager supposedly even
fired this guy because of what he did to me.
Between the first/original claim I filed and the
positive follow-up I received confirming it was being processed and now, I have
incurred not only the bank’s reversal of this $1,000 credit, but also
additional bank fees/charges. Please
permanently re-credit me the $1,000, plus all bank fees/charges incurred from
this erroneous, reversal ( THIS WAS MY LETTER TO CHASE CLAIMS DEPT, AFTER I WAS REFUSED A REFUND FROM FIRSTWEBSEARCH.COM) After months of dealing with chase claims....faxing my docs 7 times ( and I have the fax logs to prove this) They continued to say that they have not received my paperwork. I was fed up and went to a local branch for help....got a new fax number and person to call.......turns out My claim was recently denied by a chase claims manager named Jason Colon who gave me a reasoning that was so incredibly frustrating, He said that even though I was lied into purchasing a service this company could not provide, since I was told to sign my digital signature,Chase would not be able to get the $1000 from First Web Search. By denying my claim, I believe CHASE IS SUPPORTING SCAM ARTISTS!!!. And are not protecting their account holders!!! My account was closed 2 days ago without notice...written off....ruining my credit..... ( I would have paid the $1,000 to keep my account open ) This is not fair and I will not stop until my account is reopened and all the negative marks are taken off my credit report! Expose FirstWebSearch! and bring the media into the way Chase Claims handled this situation. Heads need to roll on all sides Can anyone help me in this situation? Does anyone have any ideas about where I should start? Who should I call about this? Should I get the media involved? What would be the best step to take?
