Image Dynamics Inc paid 3 months past due & deducted money from check Melville New York

I have been doing work with this company Image Dynamics for the last 3 years without ever receiving payment on time (within 30 days).

The last 2 jobs I did for her was in August 13, 2002 for $4,046.00 & September 20, 2002 for $85.00. After numerous calls & letters to her asking for payment, I kept getting a runaround & an excuse that she has to wait to receive payment before she could pay me (ridiculous).

In mid October I started to revise an existing job for her with the promises that I should get a check any day. After a few days when I didn't receive a check, I stopped work on her job & would not release the file. She in turn tells me that she will deduct payment from my check because she had to have some one else recreate the job.

I had to hire an attorney to draft a letter to this bargain. She responded to him & he told me that I should settle with her with the deduction from the check, give her all of her files on disk (charging her for them). I wasn't at all happy with the outcome, but the lawyer said it could take a lot of time & money to pursue this in court. I would have went to small claims court, but the amount was too high.

At this point I would like her company to be posted with bad credit & a late payor. Hopefully by doing this, it will prevent other honest hard-workers from being screwed by this woman & her company.
