I signed up for RealtyStore.com. They advertise things like find a foreclosure house for under $10,000. First off I did not see one house legitimately offered for under $10,000. That was such marketing hype.

As soon as I signed up, I started receiving lots of spam in my inbox. It is like they sold my email address to everyone. I have gotten about 30 spam emails from people since signing up for their product. I was never on a spam list before signing up with them.

I also looked in to some of the properties on their website. They are not even under foreclosure or they were under foreclosures 1 year or more ago. As far as I could tell the list was incredibly bad.

Bottom line, RealtyStore.com is a ripoff.

We stand by our listings

AUTHOR: Andrew Goodwin - Goleta (USA)

Our listings are updated weekly. Foreclosures do sell fast, but we check our listing sources daily. There is also a "feedback" link on each property page for users to notify us should a home they're interested in already be sold.

We have over a million listings on our site. In many markets you can find homes as low as $10,000 AND CHEAPER. Of course, not all market are the same. You can't really expect to find such homes in Beverly Hills, CA or Montauk, NY. However, the smart foreclosure investor looks nationwide and works with contractors and property managers, and looks for the right local markets. Some incredible bargains are available in Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada and other states.

In terms of the user's spam complaints, the complaint is too generic to address. We do have a checkbox inviting a member to also receive offers from partner sites - a user can check or UNcheck this box at will. It is possible the user is referring to such offers (in which case the user is reminded that he requested emails from our partners by checking that box!) - or the complaint may be about other emails, which I cannot really address as I am unaware of the user's web-surfing habits.

Sincerely,
Andrew
