American Cash Awards - Gemini Subscriptions - Coast To Coast Circulations Followed all their Cancellation rules and STILL cannot get my money back Evergreen Colorado

Don't ask me why I bought a $50 (Plus $13 processing?) subscription to a magazine that I can get for $10...but I did. Guess I felt bad for the sad little kid they sent to my door to give me some sob story. I immediately realized what a mistake I made and on the following morning I sent out the notice of cancellation.

I called to see that they received it, they said they did. But even though they had my notice in 3 days - two days later they go ahead and cash my check? Now onto the next hoop they make you jump through to get your refund. If you will notice on the fine print of the cancellation notice, not only do you have to cancel in 3 days, but you have to provide proof of payment in 4 weeks. They cashed the check into their account and I have to prove it????

As crazy as that sounded I wanted my money, so I immediately (the day after the check was cashed and 6 days after the order was placed) faxed them a copy of the front and back of the cashed check AND my statement listing the transaction. I then called to see that they received and I was assured that they did get the fax. I am then told that I will see the refund in roughly 4 weeks.

So two weeks later I get a post card in the mail saying they got my cancellation notice, but I need to provide proof of payment...Which I had already done weeks earlier. I had to call them again and tell them and they tell me not to worry about the post card, my refund is in the works...

I wait patiently and call them 6 weeks after my check was cashed. I am told that it must have been lost in a pile and that they do apologize and the check will go out that Friday, I should see it by the next Tuesday. I call them that next Wednesday after the mail comes and no check. This time I am given no excuse, but told it will definetly go out this Friday.....so I call them the NEXT Wednesday when it does not arrive (today, 8 Weeks after my check is cashed) and talk to yet another woman there.

I am told that for some reason my refund has not been processed, but she is going to put it on PRIORITY payment (whatever). And I tell her that I am tired of being lied to and she can understand how I do not believe a word she is saying and she apologizes, telling me that I will have the check by Thanksgiving and she will cut the check herself if she has to....So who thinks I am ever going to see that $63 again? Not me...
