Rip-off Report’s investigation of DirectBuy uncovers an ongoing commitment to total client satisfaction. The Rip-Off Report Investigation revealed a demonstrated commitment by DirectBuy to providing excellent customer service and resolving customer issues. They achieve this through several means, including a recent partnership with customer service experts to actively survey their members and guests and make changes that improve their processes and ensure a uniform exceptional experience for every customer. To address the most common concerns, DirectBuy recently started offering free trial memberships at participating club locations, as well as additional tiers and terms of membership to meet a broader range of household budgets.

Rip-off Report found that most complaints about DirectBuy were made by non-members who were critical of the cost of membership and the policy that a decision about membership must be made the same day of the open house visit. The policy is there to protect the manufacturers. It ensures their confidential pricing cannot be used by non-members to negotiate better deals with retail stores, thereby protecting the best possible pricing to members. The policy has not changed, but as stated above, new tiers and terms of membership are being offered at participating club locations

NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

Direct Buy /UCC Total Home FRAUD ,DECEPTION Grand Rapids Michigan

My husband and I went to a presentation 1-27-05 and signed up that night believing that we could save money concidering we were building a house well let me tell you about the savings there is none! alot of the major stuff we needed i compared prices your better off going to your local home improvement placew there is no hidden cost there and it's cheaper for the same thing. I contacted Direct Buy about this matter and of cource they gave me some lame excuse so on Feb 2005 I wrote to Direct Buy asking to cancel our membership and get a full refund I did recieve a letter back apparently they couldn't comprehend what I was asking from them so again in March 2005 I sent them a letter asking for a full refund and to cancel our membership they pretty much laughed in our faces.

So I contacted my attorney who is now handling this and he to is not getting any where this company needs to be shut down we did not purchase anything from them and I'm still paying on my membership by the way it cost us $3,500.00 for the first 3 years they will not return any calls. so people do your home work before you make the mistake that I'm finding out that alot of people are in the same situation that we are in , or if you are having the same problem some of us are talking class action lawsuit feel free to contact me.

Direct Buy full court press more like timeshare sales

I can confirm what you are saying...NO savings whatsoever. Good thing I took advice from people who got ripped off before going with these slimebags.

Go into their store and you will get the full-court press just like you're being sold a timeshare. Touting all of the benefits of how much you expect to spend over time and by your investment up front that you will recover that easily with their huge savings.

I've know many who've shopped this place only to find prices are higher than MOST other places and the service you get if something goes wrong is horrible. PUSH PUSH PUSH you just like used car salesmen! It's just plain awful.

Lots of other places to go to find a good deal...this isn't one of them.

This company needs to be stopped I have recieved so many emails from people that this has happen too! we all want our money back check out you will find more complaints every time you look at a report about Direct Buy they get an email notifying them that some one else has seen the bad report. If there is any Attorneys out there that can help with a class action suite please contact me and I can give you more names my attorney is giving me little hope.
