On August 27th, 2008 I had received an email from DirectTV with an offer I could not refuse. I am a frequent flier on JetBlue Airlines. DirectTV offered new clients a $200 Gift Card if they signed up for their services before August 31st, 2008

It was a very good deal because I have called DirectTV prior to this encounter to inquire on the pricing...how coincidental, NOT? I called the numvber in the email I needed to call and because I wanted an international package, the representative transferred me to someone else. I did not the reason nor did I think it would cost me gift card and months of headaches. $200 may not seem much for someone, but for me it was a lot...I definitelly woiuld use it for my travels.

Two months passed by and I never heard back from DirectTV regarding y gift card. I called and was told there is not such a thing like this and they do not know of the deal as such. So, I printed a copy of it and faxed it over to the represetative I was talking to on the phone, as a proof.

One month later I get a phone call stating that I was not eligible because I did not call the number listed. Although, I called the number on the paper, no one seems to be able to get to the bottom of it. I spoke to someone on December 26th or so and was told that there several phone numbers attached to the offer and reps who apporve these gft card are not utilising the information. so, she said I needed to write a letter to corporate with explanation and I should be all set.

January 18th I called them again, as I had not gotten any response from the company. It has been 6 months now and I am still in dispute over a lousy advertsing they' ve made to cover their bad image. I called and once again was told that I was not elegible due to wrong number. I do not know what to do at this time and need assistance in filing a complaint against DirectTV . Please help me ASAP. Thanks

complain to all avenues

my advice to you as I am currently fighting the direct tv deceits is...file a complaint with the FTC, FCC, BBB, and your states attorney generals office.  Do research online...there are tons of class actions right now against DTV.

call them and see if you can get in on the class action.  it is the only way to stop these criminals!
