Emerald Concepts Misleading Job Opportunities and Possible Pyramid Scam! Beware! Houston Texas

First, I would like to mention that the purpose of this letter is to corroborate with some of the other complaints against this "company" that is currently recruiting in the Houston area.

Like the users in the otehr complaints, I responded to a job listing on Monster.com for an Entry-Level Marketing position with claims for big potentials for growth within the company all with little or no experience. After an individual (Sharon) contacted me I went to an interview in this small office.

After meeting with a representative (Luann), I was very surprised that the interview was only 10 minutes with very basic questions. Then I was scheduled to come back for a secondary interview the following week. When I showed up that day, I was also taken with a "Sales Rep" (Vernon) to another area of Houston. I did overhear about a Sales Rep called Jim. We ended up at selling items in a stand in front of a PETCO in Sugarland, but what got me the most attention were some very dubious vacation packages from Smart Circle. I found out all compensation was 100% commission, with no benefits of any kind.

I had to leave early, but promised to return for another meeting. However, I made some research on the company and Smart Circle, and all these websites had nothing but complaints about them. Other "marketing" companies have very eerily similar hiring practices and sales structures, more specifically like The Landers Group. Even the layout of the websites and the working are quite similar. I didn't even bothered to return to waste my time and gas.

Beware of Eventive Promotions and JAB Events as they're practices are similar and are operating in the Houston area.
