H&R Block "Christmas Money" Emerald Card Misleading Advertising - RIPOFF! Ofallon, Nationwide

The Big Green Box people are at it again this year!  They've put posters in their windows advertising that you can get "Up to $1,500 on an Emerald Card" in a few minutes and your "W2 is not necessary".  THIS IS A RIPOFF!  It is not tax-related at all and is only a signature loan or payday loan.  These people ask you to bring in your paycheck stub to verify your employment for the loan and then they tell you they will estimate your tax refund to make sure you can pay the loan back, as well.  They are leading you to believe that you HAVE TO FILE YOUR TAXES WITH H&R BLOCK!  Well, you don't have to -- these loans have NOTHING to do with tax returns at all.  Also, you are led to believe that you can file your taxes without a W-2!  That is not true and it is highly illegal to actually file taxes without a W2.  Also, the people in the offices will tell you that you didn't qualify for the loan when they knew up front you couldn't qualify, but you were being led on so you'd take your W-2 back a let them file your taxes for an enormous fee.  If you DO happen to get one of these Emerald Cards, the fees are just outrageous!  DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THESE RIPOFF ARTISTS!  I have got copies of hundreds of tax returns I had to fix that were messed up by H&R Block employees!  DO NOT GO THERE!
