The photos furnished by me roofer indicated that a roof replacement needed to be done if not when it was done, but in the near future.

The work appears to be done in a proper manner. The existing leaks prior to the replacement of the roof were to be cured per the roofing company. As of this writing, a major leak exists. The roofer is unable to cure this leak. Prior to the roof

Being installed the consumer put a furnace unit in the attic causing an unusual heat loads in the attic.

This larger than normal heat load resulted in an uneven snow melt on the roof, resulting in leaks If due diligence was done by the roofer is unknown. If the roofer was aware of the attic unit and problem with heat he should have made consumer aware of this prior to the new roof and more ventilation or other remedies could have being made.

 

 MGA disagree with BBB decision,and this is why we hire a legal representation. Customer is well aware of problem with heat being  generated by  the  furnace  in his attic, and he wants MGA to pay him over $ 2000 ,so he can move his furnace back to his closet in his house, since house has no basement. Farrell  only experiencing problem with his roof when ice dam builds-up on it .  No roofing company can guaranty against ice dams leaks !!!

Mr Farrell you can call me what you want, I do stand by my company work and we take care of our problems ,as we have being for all this years. But I will not allow you or any one else  to take advantage of me and my company!!!!!!!!

This is NOT about $ 2000 you trying to still from me, but about wright and wrong,  and this is why I decided to have legal representation and I will take this matter to the highest Court I'm allowed.

 

Thank God MGA filed their rebuttal!

For me, this is about 2 things: My roof leaks worse than it did before I called MGA.  And it's about right and wrong.

This man has broken his word to me about arbitration.  When you go to arbitration both sides agree to ABIDE by the abritrator who found in my favor.  Since the arbitrator did not find in MGAs favor, they decided they didn't have to abide by the agreement to arbitrate.  Had the arbitrator found in MGAs favor I would have walked away.  That was the deal and they broke it.

As a note, the arbitrator asked them at least 5 times if they could fix my roof because I was not asking for any money.  I was asking to have MGA do whatever must be done so my roof will not leak!  I don't want my money back.  I want the leak fixed!  Fix the leak like you promised or cut me a refund.  But his man wants money for making my living room leak worse than it did before he got involved. This is better than money for nothing - it's money for hurting people!

They broke their word with the BBB with whom they agreed to arbitrate disputed.

And they broke their word with me about resolving the problem of my home leaking.

As another note to anyone reading this, the furnace was in my attic for over a year before MGA happened on scene and we didn't have any leaks.   We got estimates from 3 different roofers and no one, INCLUDING MGA, ever mentioned the furnace as a problem.  He also made some big speech at mediation about my insulation of which he knows nothing.  My favorite quote from him is, "You're good with computers, you should know about ice dams."  Wow.  He's good with lying, he should know about brain surgery.  Makes as much sense to me.

READ THIS MAN'S REBUTTAL!  IF YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM MGA THIS IS THE MAN STANDING BEHIND THE WORK.  THIS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CAN EXPECT!

TWO YEAR LEAK-PROOF GUARANTEE EXCLUDES ANYTHING THAT WOULD ACTUALLY MAKE THE ROOF LEAK.  THEY DON'T GIVE IT TO YOU UNTIL THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, ASK TO SEE THE GUARANTEE BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING!!!  IN HIS WORDS, HE'S NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING HIS REPS SAYS ONLY WHATS ON THE PAPER AND THEY WON'T GIVE YOU THE PAPER UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE. 

And I have the dates right on the paper to prove what I am saying is true.

Last year when he told me he would not do anything more for me, he told me he didn't have money to keep trying to fix my roof.  But he has money to hire a lawyer to try and avoid fixing my roof.

I'm just glad we're going to civil court.  Now I can ask for ALL of my money back plus fixing the drywall I have fixed twice, plus my ruined floor, plus last Christmas being destroyed (because he didn't return my calls for over a week), plus living in an UGLY living room for two years.  Not to mention legal fees, lost wages, and the cost to change an airplane ticket.  And when he's up here posting about how he lost so much money people, keep in mind he's the one taking ME to civil court.  I don't want his money.  I want my roof fixed.

MAY JUSTICE PREVAIL!  This IS about right and wrong and not lying to consumers.  Please, if this man has injured you as he's injured me, let the authorities know.  Contact Lansing.  My lawyer says a man named Robert Young has drastically reduced consumer protection in the state of MI.  Let your government reps know that MI citizens shouldn't be afraid of picking up the yellow pages and calling a licensed contractor for help.  Licensing should = competency.  This man's representatives came to my house 4 times and gave 4 different reasons as to why my living room had water pouring down the walls.  The owners response is that he's not responsible for his employees.

Send a message to MI - this is NOT good enough!  Contractors like MGA should be competent or they should be gone!
