Palmetto Marketing Inc. Rip Off

Last night two young girls came to my door. They introduced themselves as trying to meet new people and selling subscriptons to raise money for a Senior trip. One of them was a fast talker but fairly charming and seemingly upfront with everything. I wrote them a check for two magazine subscriptons, one for Good Housekeeping and one for Family Circle. The amount seemed excessive but I was caught up in the moment and went ahead with the check for $73.96.

I had a bad feeling about it after they left. When I checked the address for the alleged company, Palmetto Marketing, Inc., on the computer it could not be found. Then I found this website and read your ripout articles. I have called and put a stop payment on my check and hope that will take care of it. If it does I have learned a good lesson for $8.00!
