A few months ago, I received several e-mails from ProductTestPanel.com. I was a little hesitant to join, but the offers were just too good to refuse. Well, I was drawn in by the false advertisement that said I could receive a gift WITH NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

Obviously, that was a lie, because I was supposed to make 6 purchases. I got through 4, and then called it quits when I couldn't rationalize spending the hundreds the last level was requiring. I could have just bought the camera or the laptop with that money, without all the hassle.

I'm very disappointed in the unethical nature of this advertising. I read the terms and conditions, still hoping I could somehow find the page that said "no purchase necessary." I'm not going to waste anymore money on luxuries I really didn't need, so I'm not getting my offer after all.

I believe this company launched a campaign based on false advertising and could be sued. I will contact the company and see what they will do for me. I will also call the sponsors, cancel my commitment, and let them know about the company who is abusing their name.

I thank everyone who filled out a report so I could figure out if this offer was legitimate or not. I suppose they met the terms they agreed to, but the lure was through false advertising. I still had it in my mind that I would receive the free product without having to buy anything, so as far as I'm concerned, they have broken a contract.

I am bombarded with spam (although I consented to let the company sell my e-mail address, so that's my own fault). What I worry most about is what this unethical company is going to do with my financial information. Luckily, I lost my credit card and had it cancelled right away, so the number they have is worthless.

By the way, watch out for EMarket Research Group. They're doing it, too.
