Purchased travel insurance along with plane tickets thru U.S.Airways website.

Illness forced me to cancel so I submitted my claim forms to AcessAmerica for reimbursement of plane tickets.

I was denied because of a "previous medical condition" as stipulated on their "Certificate of Insurance".

The claim forms never mention any "previous medical condition". Their "Certificate" was unknown to me and not even accessible when I bought the tickets.

It looks like a very cozy business arrangement. Certain members of the travel industry sell tickets AND AccessAmerica travel insurance. Travellers buy both but somehow can't go and try to get reimbursed. They are denied. The travel company keeps the money and fills the seat with another paying customer. Access America not only keeps the premium but holds on to the reim-busement funds.
