I played their on-line game "North of Expected" for weeks. One night I won. The screen lit up saying "You won a $2000 Alaska Airlines Vacation". I printed the screen. The rules say they will notify you. I waited...and waited..and waited...

Months later I write to them and they apologize and say a company called "Launchfire" actually awards the prizes and to contact them.  So I do. And I wait, and wait, and wait. I send e-mails. No reply.

Then I get a call saying they are "looking into it" then weeks later I get a letter saying that although I "won" that they won't honor the win. They have already awarded my prize to someone else, and besides it must be my computer, or my server, or Internet Explorer or Dell or something because their computer doesn't show I won. Now they HAVE A COPY of my win notice, but they won't honor it.

I contact Alaska, and they politely write back that too bad, so sad, if you read the small print it says you may be told you are a winner, get a winner notice, but you aren't a winner unless they SAY you are a winner, and that decision is up to them.

Apparently, they name winners to a lot of people and then pick some as winners and the rest of us get screwed. IT IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF.  Never fly Alaska- they have no honor!
