I tried to purchase tickets online for two flights to Chicago today. At the end of filling in all the information, I received an error message that said something like, "Sorry, unable to process at this time. Try again later." So, I did try again 5 to 10 minutes later and got the same error message. I decided to wait a few hours before trying again but later when I checked my email I had received four tickets with two different confirmation numbers for the same people. Apparently, the transaction had gone through twice anyway. Thank God I didn't try a third time. When I called customer service they said they'd be able to reimburse me in 1 to 2 months! So, I'm holding payment on my credit card, racking up interest for two months on plane tickets I didn't want? When I pointed this out, they said it was my fault, that I made the mistake or just decided I didn't want the second set. Of course, I replied with the question, "Why would anyone want two sets of tickets for the same itinerary? It would be impossible to use them." So, I'm out cash for their mistake and they couldn't even offer me some kind of discount on my next flight or an upgrade or anything for my troubles... Bad business.

Same thing happened to me

The same thing happened to me with AA, a few days before it happened to you, I made several calls each day, they ended up sending me vouchers, in every call I made nothing was ever mentioned about the vouchers, they just kept telling me they would be crediting my card.  When I got the vouchers I started with several more calls again, I was very very angry, as they had been assuring me everytime from the very beginning that my card would be credited.   I have now returned the vouchers certified return receipt, they have promised they would credit my card, oh and I have filed a dispute on the charges with my credit card company.   But I am very leary about returning those vouchers and I told them that, if I do not get credit I am not sure what I will do. 

Very Angry with AA and will not use them again.   This time around I was trying to give them a second chance because I had a bad experience before.  But this was the last straw.
