Peruvian Airlines cancels flights and destinations without notifying or refunding customers who have confirmed and paid in full reservations leaving travelers stranded. Companies response is "sorry, not my department" and offers no alternative travel arrangements.

We booked 2 round trip flights from Lima, Peru to Piura, Peru.  The flights were booked on June 23, 2011 on Peruvian Airlines website http://www.peruvian.pe/en The flights were paid for with a credit card. We received email confirmation of the flights the same day, as well as a phone call on the same day confirming the booking. The charges were posted to the credit card.

The flight was to take place on November 5, 2011 from Lima, Peru to Piura, Peru with a return flight from Piura, Peru to Lima, Peru on November 16, 2011. We arrived in Lima on November 4, 2011 from the United States.

Upon arrival at the ticketing counter of Peruvian Airlines early in the morning on November 5, 2011 to check luggage and get boarding passes, the agent told us that Peruvian Airlines no longer offered flights to Piura, Peru. The agent did not know why the airline never told us or issued a refund. The agent also refused to offer any assistance or alternative methods to get to Piura. The only response was "sorry, not my department". The manager refused to speak with us. The agent said she was unable to issue a refund since it was a Saturday. 

We were left stranded, in a foreign country, almost 24 hours away by bus from our destination, the day before our wedding, all because Peruvian Airlines cancelled all flights to Piura 3 months prior to our travel date and failed to notify us or refund our money. 

We finally made it to Piura, got married, and filed a dispute with the credit card company to get our money back. 

NEVER FLY WITH PERUVIAN AIRLINES.
