I purchased one roundtrip ticket from spirit air. Before I clicked confirm, i saw where they tried to hussle me with a program called "$9 savings club" and "air insurance". I did not click on either. Unpon confirming my order and receiving my email confirmation, I noticed that I was being charged $9 per month for this stupid savings club and the $12 Insurance, for which I never ask for. I was told by a rude representivie that there is no refund and I should have read before i submitted the payment. This is what i get for flying this cheap carrier. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I often purchase Spirit tickets online. Before you hit the final submit, a breakdown of the charges are listed with "what's this?" next to it. Had you clicked "what's this?" you would have found out what the charge was and been instructed that if you don't want it, to uncheck the box. The boxes are automatically checked and you have to uncheck the boxes to un-select the charge. With the way they give the breakdown of the charges, in plain sight, before submitting, I'm surprised you submitted without reading what you were paying for.

Spirit is cancelling flights left and right. We left for Florida 8/26 to return 9/1. Spirit cancelled our return flight on 8/26 for the 9/1 flight. We were stuck until the next day and went from a non-stop 2 1/2 hour flight to a 7 hour nightmare. We incurred an additional night at Disney plus meals. Had we purchased their insurance it would have been reimbursed. Our "discount" flight was not such a great deal. We could have flown 1st class on a reputable carrier for what the Spirit flight cost us. Keep the insurance and stay away from Spirit in the future!!!!
