I happend to reserve virgin blue airline tickets while I'm traveling in australia and the price was 20 dollars cheaper than Quantas airlines. So I selected the cheaper virgin blue airlines ticket, it was a big mistake. They have so many fees - check in luggage fee(online : 8 dollars, at the airport : 20 dollars), no complementary beverage(at least 5 dollars), in flight movie screen(4.95 dollars to watch) what so ever.

I read their policy about the luggage fee, so I got a backpack which will fit in their overhead compartment - I travel a lot so I know about my baggae - , however at the gate, one agent said my bag is too big to carry on. So I had to pay 20 dollars to check in my bag. 3 days later I had to take this airline again, but at that time no problem to carry inside. Same backpack.

What happened was they are trying to get some extra money from customers. What a rip off, I strongly suggest Quantas if you are smart.
