I am a male in my 40's that has been involved in fitness training for over 30 years. I first joined Red Lerilles Health Club in 1981( The Best Club you will find ). I decided to try Cajun Fittness a few years ago mainly because of fuel prices and its closer to my residence.

   I first asked if I may try the gym at no charge for a couple of workouts and was given a free pass for a few days...I decided to join....I had already spoken with the female manager on the phone before I went to fill out the paperwork to join. I was told I could sign a CONTRACT or pay monthly and cancel at any time. I made it CLEAR I did not want to do the contract. I frequent Lafayette often and still had an active membership at RED'S. This was just to try it out and see if this would work for me. After only a week or two, I decided that, as often as I go to Laf. I would be better off sticking w Red's.(way more bang for your buck too...finest club in the south).  

    Here's the RIP-OFF...I payed a membership fee and charges for one month at time of joining...I only went three times before deciding to cancel membership and stick with Red's (who will never rip u off and has always treated me more than fair.) I was only a member for maybe two weeks. When I went to terminate my membership...I spoke with the same manager who assisted me in joining..she told me I would have to PAY a FEE to get out of the CONTRACT. She had filled out most of the paperwork when I joined and all I did was sign it...I said "I didn't join under the contract". She points out that there's a little box checked on the paperwork for the contract.(she had checked the box). I spoke with Jason (owner) personally and explained...He was rude,Un-professional told me I should've read the paperwork before I signed it and charged me another 70+ dollars.When Reds was mentioned he said"F.... Red Lerille". WOW...What a guy !! Hope those few dollars last him a long time...He'll never see another penny from me.
