Parker had another vet appointment today, suspicion of mange, again, and his eyes are all watery and red and to check on his testicles.
His mange is back, worse then original. My vet, Dr. Melco from the Milaca Vet Clinic in Milaca, MN said this is a very severe hereditary case, also, neither of his testicles are palpable, they have regressed into his abdominal cavity. His eyes are also of concern, they said he has where the eyelids turn out on themselves. My vet also stated that Parkers issues are very disturbing coming from a 'reputable' breeder and his issues are generally seen from only puppymill dogs. I advised that Crystal the owner/operater of Rama Jama Kennels refuses to return emails. I mentioned I was going to report this to the AKC and the ASPCA and he said, report this to who ever will listen. I mentioned I put a report on here and he said, it's a good place to start. I have ALL of Parkers vet appoints/vet bills/charts on hand, if you need me to fax you a copy for proof, please contact me via (((ROR redacted))). I would love to share the information with anyone that is considering purchasing a puppy from her. Parker's sire was Nick and dam was Missy X litter of 12/17/08. You can still see his picture on line on their website. If you visit the site, keep in mind what you have read here, please.
We finally were able to get his rabies shot today! Only due to my pleding because city ordinances in Coon Rapids, MN, all dogs in city limits must have a rabies tag/certifications to be licensed and must be licensed yearly. However, no other innoculations were administerd at this time due to how severly his lymphnods are swollen. Even his paws are swollen from the secondary infections due to mange. We free feed Parker, he ALWAYS has food and water available at all times. His weight is only that of 106 and the vet said he looked 'lean' for his breed. We feed him only high end dog food. He has recently started vomiting, periodically, the vet said this caused from his vast array of illnesses. His cloride level is low due to this too. That will be checked next month when we again, go in for another skin scraping and if there are still signs of the mange, we must then go with a full dip in a very strong pesticide.
I will update periodically. If you doubt, you may find my vet on line and call the clinic and ask. So far Vet Bills: 914.00 (that is only 2 visits for mange treatment). We have 2 major surgeries coming up and the dips and if the mange is as persistant after a year of age for Parker, it's going to be a life long agony of treatment.
So, for those of you who state you have wonderful dogs from Rama Jama Kennels out of Parker, SD, you are lucky.
