Banfield Pet Hospital Beware! You have been warned- do not purchase their wellness plans! Internet, Nationwide

I have 3 pets. I signed them all 3 for their wellness plan. I had my account on automatic payments. 

My wallet got stolen. Like a responsible citizen, I called banfield and gave them my new information. 

Let me just tell you, I was at banfield 2 days ago with my pet. To my shock today, I check my credit report and there they are IC SYSTEMS http://www.icsystem.com/ in behalf of Banfield THE PET HOSPITAL. I was so shocked, I thought I had been a victim of Identity theft. To my shock, the debt had been paid too. 

I called banfield, they told me it had been an internal error. The agent had only updated the new credit card info on 2 of the pets. Not all 3. So they had sent my account to collections over $50. The debt had been paid by my boyfriend, whom assumed it was valid. 

Short story, I called everyone you can think of, their answers, you should have not paid the debt. You should have dispute it. Since you paid it, its valid and it will stay in your credit report for 7 years. So people beware, you have been warned.  Check your credit reports and always be ahead of these people. They do not care wether it was their mistake or yours. The bottom line is, people will never do their job well unless they have good management supervising and making sure the job gets done. I have figure out that if you want life to happen as it should, you have to babysit everyone who doesn't care about you or knows you to do their job accordingly. I will not use this hospital again, the customer service was horrible and their internal error will be on my file for 7 years. Lesson Learned.
