Even though this person got several thousand dollars of my money back in November 2007, as of 16 January 2008 I have not managed to get her to honour our contract for shipment of two pug puppies. She has promised to give me my money back three separate times but hasn't followed through, citing vague personal problems.

I've concluded that this is just a scam and have contacted the police, but I doubt I will ever see the cash I'm entitled to again, even though she has agreed to what she owes me in writing more than once.

If this kind of information had been available before I tried to do business with her, I wouldn't be in this situation today. I hope I can save someone else the hassle--there are plenty of honest, ethical breeders around for you to deal with.

If you want to avoid getting ripped off by this person, stay away from the website Clark's Barks (www.freeweb.com/clarksbarks). It is run by Megan Baxter-Clark and I have filed a separate report on this site. Someone else also busted her under her aliases (Megan Clark, Megan Kathryn Clark, Megan Baxter) and her husband's name (Nathan Clark, Nathan Baxter Clark) on Kijiji.com.

megan kathryn clark enters the world of ragdoll breeders

Megan Kathryn Clark has just snuck her way into the Ragdoll cat breeder world, unfortunately my friend has been her latest victim. She is selling Ragdoll kittens and saying they are purebred and that the papers can be obtained after at extra cost.
She bought my friends registered ragdoll and left cheques for payment which are not cashable, now she will not return any emails. She did not recieve the papers for the cat, which luckily my friend with held until payment was made. She also stated to me in an anonymous email that she had bred her cat with my friends male and her previous litter was still nursing, she is looking for 2 more female cats in which she stated she wanted to be able to breed right away... breeders beware

Two years later, still no money, no papers. There are numerous reports about this woman's activities on the internet, from other pug ripoffs to scamming people out of deposits for fake rooms for rent. 

I'm not surprised she's now in the cat business, since she seems willing to do whatever it takes to make a quick buck at somebody else's expense, whether they are an unsuspecting customer or a poor animal who happened to cross her path. It seems to me she's just a scam artist who has figured out that if the amounts of money involved are small enough, the police won't do anything. But, maybe if there are enough reports over a period of time, the clock might finally run out.
